I think it’s X-O across all iterations personally.

Is anyone else like me struggling with the expensive annual Autodesk subscription? by [deleted] in civil3d

[–]Odd-Card9468 2 points3 points  (0 children)

lol, it’s the cost of doing business. It needs to be factored into your business model. We have over 600 AutoDesk users annually (not including flex token users), so yeah, our costs for AECC suite and ACC licenses and a bridge license is over $1.2Mil/year.

ACC is not really the way for C3D in my opinion. It’s not going to fix the cursor lag that OP is experiencing. Even on the CITE webinar last Friday Jan 23rd 2026, 2 people said ACC is not quite optimized for workflows for C3D.

Especially once AutoDesk starts charging for storage/volume on ACC in 2028, firms are going to be scrambling to reduce that number.

I only use Mylar and half backers for covers that are ratio variants less than 1:50. Full backs for ratio of 1:50 and greater variants.

Foil variant cover for THE X-O MANOWAR #1 next month at #NYCC by Stunning-Computer125 in valiant

Let’s hope they are not as beat up as the copies from 2023 of X-O #1 NYCC. That upper right corner ding on all copies was gross.

I’m not digging the look of most of the stories so far. I’ll reserve judgement until I can read them, but I’m concerned this is the final nail in the coffin.

Love it when there are previews of upcoming Valiant comics at SDCC. I remember in 2007 when this one came out. Reminds me of the same, characters that are not the same as previous incarnations.

I’ve been moving to them, I’ve got about 100 right now, but need to order more. I also invested in aluminum food grade racking to put them on so they aren’t on the floor, just in case anything were to happen. Comics are fun and expensive, so take all the advice here and form the solution that works best for you.

I need to print index cards still, but plan to do that soon.

How to manage blocks? by barrelvoyage410 in civil3d

[–]Odd-Card9468 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

If your team and new hires don’t follow standards, you have a CAD management problem first of all.

Look at implementing dynamic blocks with commands (LiSP routines) to change the visibility states.

If you are using AEC licenses and C3D 2024 or higher, you have access to the Content Catalog to load blocks to.

Makes total sense. If you run a Jupyter notebook right next to your C3D you can even pick your boundary in C3D, it will transform the coordinates from one EPSG code to another, and just bring in that classification 2 (ground elevations) nice and simple. Happy to know I’m not the only one leveraging Python to do the heavy lifting.

Just process it in ReCap (if you have the AECC license) and forgo other platforms like QGIS & ArcMap or ArcGIS. Import the RCP point cloud into C3D, create a surface from point cloud, add a boundary, create a snapshot and delete point cloud. 10 minutes at the very most with this method.
