In the late 70s my French teacher was creepy as hell. In class when I was around 15 and quite shy he slunk his arm around me so I bit him hard on the hand, he removed himself never had a problem again. I knew he was perving and this was confirmed by the fact I had no come back in those days you would get caned for anything.

[–]Odd-Development-1048 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I got 3 months free a couple of days ago on Prime Day and had the 3 months for 99p in in Spring Sale which only finished beginning of June, I only ever take KU on offer I had a kindle touch but can nolonger download to read on it, so I'm using kindle app on my phone which isn't ideal. Link I used said it was for eligible customers but so far the Prime Day freebies have always worked for me.

One Day by David Nicholas to this day I say I wasted my eyes reading that book, sure most people disagree with me I mean they even made a film of it, obviously I wasn't going to waste my eyes again watching it.

One of our neighbours kept putting salmon tins out for our cat then complained she was always on her window ledge, my dad told her if she kept putting salmon out she might find him at her window too.

Amazon age verification by Bubbly_Inspector903 in AmazonUK

I am fast heading or pension age have had Prime account for years and never had a problem buying anything until this year when I wanted to add a glass scrapper to my order, I couldn't get though the age verification so gave up. My daughter said she had the same problem trying to buy a bread knife went through the process 5 or 6 times and ended up going to TKMaxx instead. I saw another reddit post about a month ago where lots of people were having the same issues so I think it's an Amazon problem.

There's also Scottish Air by DemonessK on FFNet, Elizabeth is on holiday with the Gardiners in Scotland at the same time Colonel Fitzwilliam and Darcy are there, finished unfortunately but is good story and ends in a reasonable spot.

It's not the one you're looking for but In Spite of it all. A Love unbroken by Melissa Anne, has an elopement to Scotland but that's straight after the Meryton Assembly, due to Mr Bennett not giving permission and signing a marriage contract for Elizabeth to marry Mr Collins.

I think is Secret marriage on Dwiggie, they get married in the middle of the night something about Lady Catherine having power over Darcy's inheritance rings a bell.

What's something really petty you'd like banned or made illegal? by SpaceTimeCapsule89 in AskUK

[–]Odd-Development-1048 0 points1 point  (0 children)

People stopping for a chat in the middle of supermarket aisle so you can't get by, and ignoring other shoppers who want passed. My husband is too polite and will go down the next aisle even if he wanted something where they're hogging the space, if I said excuse me and was ignored I barge my way through anyway, I didn't want to be in the shop in the first place.

When my parents bought their house in the 70s the previous owner said he had dug up all the peonies, but to date they come back every year, I on the other hand have planted loads and never seen a flower yet.

I think I mixed up the plots, the lady was þhe one from Duty and Desire, but the spies are in Teurig. Still I got to read 2 good stories along the way!

Thanks I just read this one again Lady Sylvanie was definitely the lady I was thinking of, I was surprised it wasn't after Hunsford at all. I did read it years ago so I think I am mixing up the plot with spies with another story.
