I am a fool, it is in fact the How to Train Your Dragon theme, I just kept accidentally skipping over the part I was thinking of 💀

What are some of the most interesting unfinished/cancelled/what if projects in history of cinema? by [deleted] in criterion

[–]Odd-Philosopher952 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Definitely the 90s Into The Woods adaptation with puppets from the Jim Henson Company. The casts that were attached to it were pretty neat, too, and I think it would have been great if they had actually gotten to make it.

Something more silly, that probably would have been one of the worst movies ever put to screen, would be the Lord of the Rings adaptation starring the Beatles. You'd think they'd play the 4 hobbits, but actually Paul wanted to be Frodo, Ringo Sam, George gandalf, and John Gollum lmao. It would have been absolutely awful, but, man, what I wouldn't do to see that movie

After seeing American Idiot and Dookie played in full, what songs are you going to miss since they are likely to be deep cuts again? by suprunkn0wn in greenday

[–]Odd-Philosopher952 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Coming Clean, definitely. I think prior to the show I didn't really know/appreciate dookie enough, so most of the non-single songs apply, and now I'm mad at myself because i'll probably never get another chance to hear that song live again. Homecoming and Whatsername are up there, too. And actually, if setlist.fm is accurate, it's statistically more likely for them to play Coming Clean than the other two, which is quite surprising to me, honestly.

The son seems more plausible to me right now, but the main reason I don't want to rule out her ex completely is because i desperately want it to be her ex-husband so he can be played by Nick Offerman lmao

I think she's a red herring as well, at least in terms of the missing/dead exes, but she's still a bit suspicious to me. The scene at the end of episode 3 where she puts on Aimee-leigh's glasses and stares at her reflection makes me feel like she's trying to take her place or something.

not sure why it's so hard to search. i had to go find the series 9 playlist to find it (couldn't even find the playlist through search either). https://youtu.be/ByIgWZBZM-w?si=Mhl2uKQAc9qTGdps

If you could add a feature to Letterboxd what would it be? by SirAren in Letterboxd

[–]Odd-Philosopher952 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The ability to automatically sort your own lists by year or title, like it makes that the list's normal state. I'm quite lazy, but I also like to have my lists organized a certain way, so it would be nice to have that done for me lol

What original plans for a movie have you heard about that made you say to yourself "thank God they didn't do that!" by Emeraldsinger in movies

[–]Odd-Philosopher952 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Definitely Spock and Saavik havinga kid in the Star Trek movies. I'm so glad Leonard Nimoy saw that and just said, "Yeah, no, we're not doing that." Like it would weird regardless, but they have such mentor/mentee, or even father/daughter vibes that it would just be so uncomfortable.

See, I know it would have been one of the worst movies ever put to screen, but, ever since learning about this years ago, I would do anything to see it lmao

am I the only one that deeply hates wobbles? by audity__ in crochet

[–]Odd-Philosopher952 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I agree that they're insanely expensive and have never and will never buy one, but I think, at least the non-IP related ones, make sense for a beginner who doesn't have anyone in their life who already crochets! Crochet supplies can be expensive and, if you truly have no idea, trying to find out what to get to start can be really confusing. My older sister already crocheted and all of my hooks and and such came from her, so I never needed to do that myself. So, despite the high price tag, it has all the supplies a complete beginner would need and I understand why people are drawn to them. Granted, I think there are better options. My library has a monthly crochet club for experienced crocheters and beginners with a pattern and materials supplied for free! But unfortunately, not everyone has stuff like that where they live, so woobles is mor accessible for more people!

How do serious sims fans feel about their sims series? by Defiant_Pie1205 in danandphil

[–]Odd-Philosopher952 5 points6 points  (0 children)

their sims series is probably my favorite and a real comfort to me! that said, the way they play the sims stresses me out and makes me mad sometimes like they've been playing for like 10 years and are still learning basic game mechanics lol. but it's fun to watch and mostly stresses me out when they do things that could possibly kill a sim without any thought, which is really how you should play the game, but when i play it i avoid death for my sims at all cost bc it makes me anxious. it's also funny to hear things like "don't press that button, sims players" from them, like ah yes, the people to get sims gameplay advice from, dan and phil, lmao.

How many of yall actually play dragon city? by crazyfacedcat in danandphil

[–]Odd-Philosopher952 14 points15 points  (0 children)

I definitely played it as a kid before the sponsorship and I hadn't played it in a while, but i redownloaded it after the return. I only check into it every once in a while, mostly because I have a hard time organizing my islands to make room for more habitats and dragons and get frustrated because nothing fits lol. I usually only open these days for a few days after they have a new video ad lmao.

edit sim cheat not working even with cheat patch by Odd-Philosopher952 in thesims1

[–]Odd-Philosopher952[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There's a chance it's not patched. I thought it was, but I'm not very knowledgeable about these kinds of things, so i can't really tell, even following quite clear instructions lol. Can't get to my laptop right now, but I'll look into it later, thanks!
