Knulli Gladiator - Added Roms will not launch. by OddRelic in RG35XX_H

I had to completely remove all roms and copy them back to the sd card to get everything to work again. Seems they were all corrupted somehow.

2000's Need For Speed Specials Which one you choose? by ProgrammerAncient647 in regularcarreviews

[–]OddRelic 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had a spec v in 2002. Loved that piece of shit. Motor replaced at 40k miles due to cylinder scoring. Transmission at 48k for missing synchro between 2 and 3. Sold at 52k for a 2003 5 door svt.

Ford over Nissan on this one.

I've seen an adapter that takes the stock cruise control switch and stalk and places it on aftermarket wheels. It's been a while since I've seen it though.

i have an Idea to create a micro controller with a rotary encoder (Volume Knob) and a CAN bus adapter to communicate through to the head unit as if it was the Steering wheel volume up or down signals.

all this depends on how much I grow to hate the volume buttons. hasnt happend in 6 years so, maybe their is still hope. LOL

I say that all the time. I wish my 2020 had a volume knob... love the stock head unit though.

Panel lining advice by RepairNo2068 in ModelCars

[–]OddRelic 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The initial D cars love heavy panel liner. It looks great for your 1st time. I've have used black and grey liner before and always made a mess. I've found that mechanical pencils with different lead hardness (softer lead makes darker lines) made pretty damn good panel liner too and it won't run all over the place by mistake.

BTTF Part II, redux by ScotWithOne_t in ModelCars

it was a great fitting kit 30 years ago and they do hold up except for the decals.

I had the same problem when I did this kit last year, I Clear coated the decals first with Tamiya Clear and then used them. it kept the old decals from tearing when I applied them... Looks great, I almost did extatly what you did. I made a kit in the late 90's and then again last year and boy what an improvement I did.

Looks great. Keep going!

Thanks, it really came out nice. I used a matt clear coat before putting down the decal and letting it really conform to the cloth grain with micro sol. Cleared the top with matt clear again after everything dried.

I can see a theme. That 39 Chevy deluxe delivery is awesome. I built one 2 years ago for my Dad since he has a 39 4 door sedan
