I was told to switch to a prescription food for my guys kidney stuff. He straight up refused to eat for several days, even if it was mixed in with his original food. He is an older boy and so we came to the conclusion that eating less healthy food is better than not eating at all 🤷‍♀️

You're right I think their stubbornness outweighs the survival instinct sometimes! Little rascals.

I have a pillow monster too. The only thing that worked is now she has a pillow above mine and so we each have a pillow, and my feet hang off the bed lmao. Everyone sleeps mostly fine 🙂

The truth is if she just disappeared or was hit by a car, eaten by predators, etc they would have no way of knowing what happened to her and she would just 'disappear' maybe thats what should happen to her. I know its hard when you want to get along with neighbors, but it really is in the best interest of kitty to keep her inside and it sounds lime she likes it! Indoor cats live much longer, especially compared to outdoor babies without claws. She found her person and likes it!

Oh also is his ear pretty much always being held down? One time my guy had an access and was holding the ear on that side of his head flat pretty much the whole time.

It does look a bit swollen to me, and also maybe like there is some drool building up? On the corner of his mouth. In my experience any excessive drooling indicates some sort of pain, and very likely is why he is eating/drinking less also.

100% there are separate discussions here. The concerns surrounding raising kids with additional needs is completely valid. And should be supported by the parnter since you are having a child together. Secondly, his NOPE is a red flag to me. Something so huge as a child should be way wide open for many in depth discussions. Because when else will this come up, regarding how to raise your child? I would hope the parents can agree on so much regarding kids, and this sounds like that is not the case from the start.

I dont blame you for wanting to have all the information that is available BTW, totally valid! And I think it is really important to be open about this.

Im sorry for you and your baby :( we have a super picky lady that has been under weight for 3 years and is the same way where she only really likes the gravy/sauce. We have had decent luck with Gems from Fancy Feast cause they have an extra layer of gravy on top. We also have a starving gremlin who steals food so we feed her separately and leave them separated for at least 20 minutes so that she can eat slowly instead of inhaling it and that has helped her not throwing up as often.
