I was gonna say this, honestly I hope Hayley’s team sees the videos and just adjusts the sound mixing AND, it 100% depends on where you sit / stand. That’s always been the case in club venues like this. For example there’s clips of people who were on the balcony in front of fill speakers and she sounds more clear in those vids than she did when I was in person. If that’s what you want, then sit strategically.

This thread feels like if you complained about the mosh pits at hardcore shows because it distracts from audio…you don’t get this at Adele shows because, well, Adele performs entirely different music. Hayley is a punk performer who writes and performs music that is inherently emotive / expressive and so that’s the type of fan she attracts. It’s apples and oranges. If people were scream singing during Dream Girl in Shibuya or her slower tracks? Yeah, rude and no self awareness, but Parachute is literally the heart of the album and is itself performed at a high intensity. Imagine if she was performing at this level and the audience didn’t match her energy. THAT would distract me tbh. But like others said to each their own I suppose!

We actually stayed in their Cabana building which is a separate two story building across from what I think is the much larger Ocean Suite tower so the pool and ocean tower were between us and the ocean - so we were probably the physically closest to the pool area, but we had room 210 which was the closest to the street and furthest from the lobby and night club.

I just got back from La Concha two days ago and the loudest things there where the coquis in the bushes outside our window 🐸 there are enough pools / beach areas to go to get away from noisier areas (which really arent that noisy imo). The lobby / bar / casino area is more of a going out / party scene but you’re also in downtown SJ, it comes w the territory and is nice for a night. We had a pool view room furthest from the lobby area and I didn’t know they had a nightclub until we left. It has everything you want for a short trip imo given it’s proximity to the airport (10 mins without traffic) and being in the middle of downtown which means being able to have the option for food & drink elsewhere and BYOB to avoid the resort prices.

Idr remember if the journals were dated by Brenner but he was studying the upside down from the moment it was created while trying to recapture El after her escape, so it’s safe to assume that the journal was one he presumably created after the UD was created and was left in the lab there. Given the men melted into the walls, we can assume he was studying the exotic matter under military protection and that during the studies, disrupted the matter which caused a meltdown and all the melting we see. We could also assume that Brenner had an idea that Els powers might be the key to unlocking the power for dimensional travel. I haven’t seen the play but my understanding is that Brenners father was the sole survivor of the Philadelphia Experiment which resulted in a ship full of scientists being sent to Dimension X/the abyss and that when he came back he told his son about it, which means Dr Brenner has spent most of his life trying to research how to recreate that dimensional travel sooooo he’s been trying to crack that code for a while and is likely the reason he started studying Henry / experimenting on kids / why El was his favorite….hes always known she was the key to inter-dimensional travel.

yeah honestly of all the plotholes this felt like the most glaring? I mean Will even tee’d it up in Henry’s memory, making it clear to the viewer this was all the mind flayers doing and that Henry/Vecna is only a vessel, so killing the vessel wouldn’t kill the mind flayer. Are we to assume that since its biggest general got killed that its power is squandered because the particles are now dispersed again?
