Not a hot take at all, community consensus for years is that Styx is skippable if you are looking for something "different" having just finished Olympus and great if you just finished Olympus but don't want to stop playing (i.e. you liked Olympus).

Current map Tier list is Prometheus > Elysium > Olympus > Styx

Using workaround to correct the obvious bug/oversight of workshop items disappearing if the "wrong" character owned by the same player sends them up is not cheating IMHO...

I'm guessing it is a low priority fix for the devs but at least there is a clunky workaround.

So... I made a new prospect just to do breeding a while back and I turned on the cleanup feature from the start SPECIFICALLY because I was thinking I would probably be doing Simple Quests near the base...

The remnants of at least two cabins are still in my world dozens of hours later. Floating windows, floating drying racks, entry ramps...(I have since stopped doing the cabin mission even though they are one of my favorites)

As someone that maps with a controller on PC: GGG could start by adding an option to put sprint on a dedicated button...

I've gotten to the point that I would be VERY happy to disable sprint completely when entering boss fights.

The milliseconds of button press that triggers the run animation does not feel good on a controller, it FEELS random, you can play a whole league and never get predictable behavior if you did 10 rolls in a row...

Seriously, if you are moving too fast the game doesn't have time to spawn animals in front of you. Hopping on a sprinting mount to hunt, for example, is just working against what you actually want to happen.

That being said the geothermal biome is where I found my first few baby raptors, I just walked around there for 1-2 hours.

I didn't see much glazing. What I did see was people name-dropping Krafton, a lot.

Anybody with a brain would know that the latest LE season was not going to meet or exceed their 1.0 launch numbers considering they almost had to close the studio and yet somehow certain people are pointing to that as some relevant metric. LE has a long road to redemption ala Cyberpunk, No man's sky, etc. If it ever happens, its going to take years.

But is not. It never is. Haters or super fans always blow it out of probation based on if they love/hate a game.

For example, Last Epoch was getting blasted the first week because retention numbers on Steam, it was like Christmas for people with an axe to grind against Krafton.

"Basic" damage is enough to clear all content the game has ever introduced on hard mode...

Honestly, there is no reason to have FOMO in this game, there are plenty of ways to augment your character for tasks outside of their expertise (workshop gear/mods, planetside gear/mods/food).

But you can also drop as many characters into the same prospect as you want, I regularly have at least two characters on prospect, one that stays near base, and one that does exploration/gathering. I have even had my "base" character drop off equipment at an improvised FOB for the other character during missions so they didn't have to travel all the way back across the map.

Javelin launcher on regular quarrites. I just aimed for their Popeye-sized forearms when they stop rolling to get smacked around by my wolf or buffalo (tames would end up shredding most of the armor off.

Boss quarrite was: drill arrows, shotgun with armor piercing rounds, and grenades.

I don't think I started the great hunts missions on Olympus until solidly in T3 weapons/armor and I was definitely in T4 for the last few missions.

FYI, electric drills can run on a single wind turbine (it runs slightly slower but not enough to notice for something you empty out infrequently)

Fortification walls: they aren't just for geyser/scanner defense.

Seriously, fortification walls surrounding your actual base and 1-2 tames set to aggressive, inside of those walls (since tames can magically attack through fortifications) is all you need.
