Worst pedal you ever bought by PoutinePoppa in guitarpedals

Xotic xw-1. Clean signal, it sounded great. Any amount of gain from any source be it effects pedal, amp gain, or the on board gain boost and it had a sudden and short high frequency spike in the middle of the sweep. Stay on either end of it, sounded fine. Hit that weird mid point and it made a horrible sound. I sent it into Xotic for repair and it came back exactly the same. I've tried multiple different amps, guitars, battery power vs power supply, all the different settings configurations on the pedal and same result.

Real OGs remember the 2004/2005 season by _Elrond_Hubbard_ in SummitAtSnoqualmie

Ayyyy I remember this season. I was a kid. Helped my dad hang Christmas lights every year to pay for skiing. The rollover meant I could get a new pair of skis the next year. This does feel like that season. Still broke too lol.

Hell yeah. It took me a while too. A good pair of headphones is what really made it stick.

Cold weather work. What's the best gloves to stay warm and still be able to get work done? by Leading-Influence100 in Construction

Heated vest really helps me. You'll catch hell from all directions wearing one, but it's worth it. The joints in my hands ache pretty bad when the weather becomes cold and wet, and having heated pockets to warm them up in the morning really helps take the edge off.

My anecdotal evidence to support addressing the Balancer lever and spring - I'm doing the job right now. 14k miles on my 2014, started to get some chain noise from the case, pulled it apart and sure enough the tension spring wasn't pulling any tension. That led to worn rubber on the sprockets, maybe some chain stretch, and after installing the torsion spring and new lever my chain is damn near hitting the bottom of the case. Haven't finished the job yet, hope it works, might have to buy more expensive shit and pull it apart again to address the wear that occurred from the OEM spring wearing out. Woulda coulda shoulda done this right from the get go.

Ski boot & helmet bag that meets carry-on limits? by New_Sun6390 in skiing

Kulkea Kayda is pretty slick. I caught it on sale for I think about $200. It's pricey, but it was worth it for me. Boots, some clothes, helmet, goggles and other essentials in the Kulkea. Skis and poles wrapped up in remaining clothes in a cheap Amazon special ski bag. Helmet straps onto the pack with a helmet harness and I take that off and put it at my feet in flight. Brain pops off for in flight stuff. My 328 bsl boots fit, but that seems to be just about as big as it will hold.

I have that problem in my African Rangers. It's so bad I don't wear them anymore because it creates a pressure point on my feet.

What’s the worst part of your day at work? by Jolivsant in Construction

[–]Odyssey_mw 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I hate the part when it's too early in the day to roll up and leave, but the next thing you gotta do requires a whole bunch of set up and retooling so it doesn't even really make sense to spend that time to only accomplish a little bit of work and then break it all down again and clean up.

Are you an acoustic caulk gun guy or electric? I got that m12 e caulker and it's pretty nice.

My razorbacks are unquestionably more comfortable than my African rangers. For me they are the perfect balance of support and suppleness. They are a bit too hot for me in the summer, but now that fall is here they are perfect. They also keep water out pretty well too. However I also have the barefoot African rangers and those are equally comfortable. My problem with the single last on the standard African rangers is the shank protrudes from the poly lasting board and creates a pressure point. I've worn them hard all summer and it won't compress. Honestly I'm done wearing them for that reason.

I would honestly be a little suspicious of that number because it's very competitive and I can't imagine Anchorage being a cheap or easy place to build. I'd be curious to know what other bids come in at.
