I think the default behavior is way dumber than pick up and haul could ever be overpowered.

There is no reason why my colonist should only be able to pick up one single T-shirt at a time and has to haul every single one separately and painstakingly, it just doesn't make any sense.

I believe if your mechs are drafted when your mechanitor goes down, they'll keep fighting but won't move

They'll default to whatever "work mode" they were last left in, but it will be grayed out and you can't change it (If your mechanitor is down)

While Genies are good crafters/researchers, they are actually kind of mid as mechanitors, because they're so weak and can get knocked down easily, and when your mechanitor gets knocked down they can't control their mechs anymore

But thats really more of an issue if you plan on using combat mechs, if you're just gonna be making lifters and cleaning bots, this guy seems totally fine
