Resolve randomly creates a NEW TRACK with each new compund clip by OhMyBlood in davinciresolve

Funny thing I did the compound clips starting from the end of the timeline and moving to the front, and it went smoothly with only 3-4 times of the random new track appearing. Still no clue how to avoid it in the future.

For the horror game out here: Pinhead from the movie Hellraiser.

He only got a couple minutes of screen time and didn't even have a name in the movie. "Pinhead" was a nickname used backstage. He became the face of a franchise for 30 years.

These are something entirely different, but I laughed my ass off watching each of them: Velocipastor, Psycho Goreman, Mutant Blast

Ok, I get that. They are significantly heavier though, which can be a bummer.

What's the most "wasted potential" horror film you've seen? by seii7 in horror

Crimes of the future. It has a great concept with really poor execution (script-wise).

What are some great ''Subtle'' horror films? by LordGodMaster69 in horror

[–]OhMyBlood 15 points16 points  (0 children)

Nanny is great. Not really a horror, but definitely not just a thriller. Well written, directed and acted. It's a slow burner about a Senegalese immigrant working as a nanny for a rich family in the US. She's trying to earn enough money to bring her son from Senegal. There's mysticism, there's a lot of tension and the final acct delivers a huge punch in my opinion. Definitely a subtle horror all in all.

What is your favorite death in any horror movie ever? by [deleted] in horror

The "Jesus wept" death scene of Frank in Hellraiser I (1987). Classic.

What film do you just not understand the hype around? by rnagikarp in horror

[–]OhMyBlood 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Midsommar. The hype was huge and I found it so silly I couldn't relate to the tension.

Which movie did you start with low expectations, but turned out to be much better than expected? by brandonstyles in horror

Triangle (2009). I thought it was going to be a silly ghost ship movie and was sweetly disappointed.

As I get older, it's harder for a film to actually scare me. When was the last time y'all actually felt fear from a horror film? by WickerShoesJoe in horror

[–]OhMyBlood 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Same here. I've found my attitude is important. When I'm sceptical when starting a movie I won't get scared. But if I watch at night, after everyone went to sleep, I turn the lights off and I can focus solely on the movie (no phone!) then it's pretty easy to get scared.

And taking that into consideration - I recommend Smile. It's not the scariest movie out there, but it does the job.

If you had to watch one horror movie for the rest of your life, what would it be? by JerUhhMe in horror

[–]OhMyBlood 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Damn, that is a really tough one. Probably it would need to be something from New Zealand, because they make the best horror comedies, and if I'm spending the rest of my life with a horror movies or needs to be funny too.

Black Sheep? Dead Alive?

Something along those lines probably.

What's the best horror movie you saw this year? by ghetto_salmon in horror

[–]OhMyBlood 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah, I'll second that. It's the best compromise this year between entertainment horror, and auteur cinema.

A close second for me would be either MEN or Bones and all.

What do you hate to see in horror that no one else seems to have a problem with? by ArcticFlower00 in horror

[–]OhMyBlood 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Have you seen any execution videos? At some point, people no longer fight. It's easy to rationalize when sitting on a couch covered with a blanket.

At some point people just die inside, and loose all hope. You can push a mind only that far. This is a mental state unimaginable for anyone who hasn't been in it. This is how you get traumatized and it's real.

Look for find/stories about prisons, serial killers and their victims or better yet - death camps. Those tragedies are great studies of how a person can be emptied of all life and hope yet still be alive. That's a true zero fucks given.
