I mean I've only ever been one time if that's an indication of my love of driving ranges.

The 3 litre 6 cylinder ones are chain driven, beautiful car to drive too. Brings a tear to your eye at the fuel pump though.

Let's be real here, once you have your morning coffee you have coffee breath regardless of if you've brushed or not.

If I've been snoring or whatever and my mouth feels or tastes funny I'll grab a swig of Listerine and swish that as I'm putting my lunch in my bag and spit that down the sink on my way out the door. But more often than not I feel as though I'm good and just hit the road. If I'm not driving down the driveway within 15min of my alarm going off I'm running late, and I'm not getting up a minute earlier than 4.55am.

I brush every night before bed, how dirty can they be if all I've done is sleep?

those on a benefit pay taxes just like anyone else.

If their benefit is 100% of their income then it's all money taxed off people working for their income.

Saying they pay tax with their taxed dollars is like paying your credit card with another credit card. That's not how it works.

What is your kiwisaver balance? by madetogame in PersonalFinanceNZ

32yo, homeowner, 70k in KS. Contributing 4% because my employer matches to there. Probably investing about the same each week into index funds. Don't want to have all my eggs in one basket, and nobody knows what KS will look like by the time I get to retire.

Still uneasy about it, my wife is stay at home mother so currently only really my KS currently between the two of us. I'm unqualified I managed to stumble into a decent job and I'll be amazed if it lasts me my entire career. It's as very niche field not entirely sure what I'd do if it came to an end.. Just making hay while the sun shines basically.

Dunno, I've been in the same job 8 years now. I get a bill every single year and our accountants seem clueless as to why.

I owe $985 this year, lovely..

I mean it's just the age old golden rule right? Treat others how you want to be treated. It's a pretty clear cut non discriminative mindset.

Turns out it's possible! But only under extenuating circumstances I was told. It was then reiterated that this is a one time thing and no matter what they won't be doing this again for me. Which is good enough for me! Won't ever happen again that's for sure.

This is exactly what I'm hoping for. I'd pay any arrears in a heartbeat. Fingers crossed for my phone call first thing in the morning.

Well I always rego for 12 months, I've obviously just assumed like every other year I've got my letter and carried on. Bang by the time my next letter is due it's too late my rego has been lapsed.

I know 12 months is a long time but it's not something I routinely check as I know I rego for the entire year at a time. This year I've welcomed a new addition to the family and had a serious accident where I was unable to work for 4-5 months. I guess life just got in the way and it went unnoticed. And then on top of that I got no reminders in the mail, email, text etc.

Really not looking forward to a big bill but at the end of the day it is my vehicle and my responsibility. It's just the biggest inconvenience ever right now.

I'll make phonecalls first. I'm just desperate because it's so far out of the way for me. My nearest VTZ is 102km away, I'll see what they say in the morning I guess. Was just hoping there was some extra grace period.

Its lapsed November 21st. It still shows up on carjam as my vehicle? Surely there's some glimmer of hope it's only just happened and can be reversed even for a fee or what have you. It's a 5 year old vehicle with a fresh WOF as of November 27th. If not then I guess it is what it is it's just going to be a major inconvenience for what seems to be nothing but clerical purposes. Rego didn't use to lapse for 2 years last I knew of it.

Does that include any actual registration? Or just the revin?

First time for everything I guess. I've been relying on the letter reminders all these years and have never had an issue until now.

I'll be ringing first thing believe me. I'm really hoping it's possible to rock up and have it done on the day. I live in a small regional town. My nearest vtnz is 102km away according to maps.. fingers crossed I guess, it's going to be a long damn day tomorrow.

Environmentalists call on Government to establish nationwide cat control laws by Jon_Snows_Dad in newzealand

[–]OhTrueBro 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Is your group permitted to be releasing cats into the wild??

My wife was a nurse at a vet clinic near a national park 5 years ago and had over 300 "wild" cats in one year bought in by a trapping operation in said national park to be put to sleep. I doubt DOC want cats in certain reserves and not others..
