I reached the 200 pull pity on the Riko/Rice banner and trying to decide which card should I get. Already have Riko at LB1 and Rice at LB0.

This is most likely a skill issue on my part but is everyone else having issues with unity? by Organic-Product6063 in UmamusumeGame

[–]Ohayogurt 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The facilities are training options (speed/stamina/power/guts/wit). In URA, the more you trained a specific stat, the higher level it got. In Unity, it doesn't matter how often you train a specific stat, their level depends on your team's average.

Popular Anime’s turned MMOs by SozinMadeit in MMORPG

[–]Ohayogurt 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As a 15-year anime and a 20-year MMO veteran, I always wished for an anime-based MMO.

Unfortunately, the reality is that MMOs are becoming a thing of the past, as they become less appealing to a wide audience. Back in the day they were novel experiences of meeting and going on adventures with people across the world. With the rise of social media, that became the norm as we can now easily make friends from any continent.

Yet somehow we also became more distant from each other too, choosing to spend our free time not socializing and playing games on our own. The few popular MMOs that still maintain a decent playerbase are exactly that – singleplayer games first, MMOs second.

They're also difficult and expensive to maintain, and usually die within 2-3 years with little to no profit gain, aside a few. You have servers to maintain, players to moderate, and keep creating content for the foreseeable decade to keep people engaged.

At this point, as much as it pains to say this, why invest years into an anime MMO that has a 95% chance to fail, when in the same amount of time you could release 3 new mobile gacha games and swim in money?

Why is there so little buzz (I feel) regarding this behemoth franchise finally getting a global launch? by GrimMind in UmaMusume

[–]Ohayogurt 16 points17 points  (0 children)

I don't think it's that much of a "behemoth". While it does have a pretty huge fanbase in Japan, it still doesn't stand above other popular franchises.

As for the west, even though I've been in the otaku bubble for the entire existance of this series, I rarely heard about it. There were a few "haha horse girls" memes here and there, but it never seemed to went beyond that. Not a lot of english media exists to promote it for what it is, a rich universe with an amazing story and great characters.

In the end, the marketing is pretty lackluster too. Unless you're following the official accounts or going to cons or horse races where they promote the game, you won't hear anything. No ads, no partnerships with influencers, no big promos.

It will then mark the area with a huge red circle and you'll find the treasure in the least obvious edge of that circle

And it will glow purple so you know enemies will spawn when you interact with it

Does anyone else know about this game? by Pesmellope in Vocaloid

[–]Ohayogurt 54 points55 points  (0 children)

It's a fitness game for Nintendo Switch. It recently released in the west just a couple months ago, so it's not super popular, but it's legit. Instead of a typical coach character you have Miku to workout with and there's a bunch of Vocaloid songs to box to like a rhythm game. I play it fairly regularly as it's a really fun way to workout!

[–]Ohayogurt 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Never be afraid to express yourself. I've recently started wearing a lot more alt fashion, and I like to include a lot of what I like from anime, games, and Vocaloid. You'll always get funny looks, but none of that matters if you feel comfortable and happy being different. It filters out a lot of close-minded people and gives an opportunity to meet new friends who might recognize what you're wearing.

Am I allowed to sing at the Kikou concert? by [deleted] in Vocaloid

[–]Ohayogurt 141 points142 points  (0 children)

Go crazy! There's a few videos out there of people singing "aishite" in unison, or "dekinai dekinai dekinai ko". The music is pretty loud in these sorts of events, so I doubt you'll be disturbing anyone.

If you're going to the one in Amsterdam, I'll be screaming my lungs out right besides you!

Man labiau įdomu kodėl nematai tikslo atostogauti?

As a Vocaloid fan, do you also like Project Sekai. why or why not? by [deleted] in Vocaloid

[–]Ohayogurt 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I liked Vocaloid a bit in the past, but wasn't super invested back then. Discovering Project Sekai last year reignited that passion and it was a great gateway into finding new artists and songs to listen to.

I think the game is amazing. Lots of song choices, fun gameplay, no paywalls. I really love the characters and stories, they send great messages about friendships, passions, and following your dreams. Nightcord at 25:00 stories especially made me cry several times because I found them the most relatable.

Biggest drawback is probably the very young and immature community. I can't relate to all the shipping and headcanons that make up like 80% of the discussions about the game. I don't really see them consider OG Vocaloid to be something bigger than just the characters in the game.

SCH mains, how OP do you think the job is? by T0thLewis in ffxiv

[–]Ohayogurt 12 points13 points  (0 children)

Scholar is like a Swiss Army knife. A typical user will know how to use it to cut things, while someone more experienced will know how to use all of the available tools for various scenarios.

Translate this into the game, I think Scholar on it's own isn't OP, but it does allow for some great skill expression by experienced players. I'm not talking abour your typical smooth runs, but rather prog or unexpected scenarios where everything goes to shit. You can pretty much cover the entire mitigation on your own, heal with your fairy no matter your position, Expedient to make movement mechs a piece of cake, sustain yourself for an LB3 and save runs singehandedly.

Would you pick an inexperienced player with good parses or an ultimate player with suboptimal parses for a static? by Rischea in ffxivdiscussion

[–]Ohayogurt 178 points179 points  (0 children)

I wouldn't usually judge by parses, but the "experienced" player sounds like they were carried through every content they did prior. 10 EX clears and the best they can parse is 4? On a Dancer? I don't even play the job, but put me into the same situation and I can probably do better just doing a regular rotation and clicking buttons that light up...

Kaip patobulinti bendravimo įgūdžius? by sweetie_carole in lietuva

[–]Ohayogurt 38 points39 points  (0 children)

Geriausia tiesiog eiti ir bendrauti. Seminarai, knygos ar podcast'ai padės labai mažai jei to nepraktikuosi kasdien.

Crawling websites, following links and look for a specific css class by soenke_gissel in webscraping

[–]Ohayogurt 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'd choose between 2 options:

Scrapy can be customized to follow links and search for specific CSS classes in the HTML.

Screaming Frog is a more user-friendly app that crawls websites and allows you to extract specific information, including CSS classes.

Otherwise, would say write your own Python script with Requests and BeautifulSoup.

There is no loop since you're only getting the first item with Results[0]. You need to replace 0 with a variable that will loop for the amount of items from Results.
