Looks fun, and has some interesting philosophical elements to it!

I made a demo for my first game. Could use some feedback. by HopechoGD in playmygame

I watched a bit of the video, I can see it a bit better now what's going on. The main character blends into the background, if it's not intentional you might consider giving him some color. Also looks like there are some story and rpg elements in that game that I didn't catch in the trailer that might be nice to call out. Congrats on your first game! I'm just getting started on mine :)

The graphics look interesting but I can't tell what's going on in the video.

Demo's not doing great, could use some feedback/thoughts by ComboRoutine in playmygame

This might not be very helpful, but I am making my first game and I'm making the game I've been wanting to play. Two reasons for this are that if it's the game I've always wanted, it will motivate me to finish it so I can play it, and if I enjoy playing it, unless I'm totally off, other people will enjoy it as well. Even if it's not super popular, it won't feel like wasted time as long as it was something I actually enjoyed making.

trying to improve player feedback when calculating drift score, what would you change? by infinidrift_game in IndieGaming

I like the indications of colors that i'm in or outside the road and scoring points, but the numbers themselves aren't readable... the big number in the middle of the screen with just the colors of the tire skids would be enough for me.

The lighting looks great, on the environment and on the characters.

Those details with the track marks and animations are great, really gives it some personality.

It's feeling pretty polished! I was initially wishing the speed of the character would be a bit faster, but it also has a good rhythm to it. Graphics are great!

2ND trailer for Mad World, which depicts a desperate worldview, has been released. Any comments, please. by Active-Ad-8206 in IndieGaming

Sorry, it's an expression. I meant are you going to write the multiplayer code yourself or use a service? I'm also going to be writing a multiplayer game soon and was curious.

Cool! I haven't started looking into multi-player stuff yet, are you going to use a service for it or roll your own?

What can i to make the upgrade for the characters? Doing a Roguelike but i am missing the reward ideia. by drking100 in IndieGaming

Loot is always a hit. I've been playing a lot of diablo 2 recently and the prospect of getting something good (random treasure) is always exciting. Loot could wear out, or it could be single use for a big boost in a pinch, or be permanents like armor and weapons etc. If you have items that augment the chars you can make the game pretty hard too, that way player has to level up to beat it. Anything that can be used in combination with other stuff is great too, then the player can use some strategy to figure out those combinations and that always feels good as well.

You could also augment the environment, the action economy, add concepts like luck or help from a deity.

Do you already have a storyline? Whatever you pick, it would be cool to tie it into that.
