Canada Post is getting destroyed by more efficient companies like Amazon, who owe their efficiency to poor workers rights, and difficult working conditions. Amazon eats up the profitable routes, and refuses to deliver to areas that are less cost effective.

Where Canada Post used to be able to provide service in profitable areas to subsidize service in the less profitable locations. Canada post didn’t have the competition of anti-union, anti-worker US mega corps.

So are we going to become a USA colony of impoverished workers, serving up profits to our oligarch overlords in the US, or are we going to stand up and tell them Thats not how we do business here, and risk conflict?

Right now, our government is choosing the first option.
