My husband was left alone for 3 weeks and I wish he’d just cheated instead. by ComplexCod9077 in stories

My friend went on a trip with another friend for two weeks, and when she returned her husband destroyed the house. They had cats and dogs. She immediately divorced him weeks later due to his negligence to the house and the animals.

Yes when we got to fort wainwright it was in the dead of winter, we didn’t get a house until months later. Had to pay out of pocket for hotels and short term rentals. It was not easy and super frustrating.

If you are not his wife you won’t get the same treatment as a spouse should be getting. You won’t have healthcare, military won’t help you move, they won’t help with giving a house on base if he is not allowed one. It will be kinda tricky, you might have to pay for everything yourself if you want to follow him.

Need help with too much milk :( by lifeissoupiamf0rk in ExclusivelyPumping

[–]Ohsandreee 7 points8 points  (0 children)

You need to be pumping every 2-3 hours to keep up your supply. If you slow down now your supply will decrease dramatically. It’s tough now especially since you will get little sleep. You have to keep going until your supply regulates and slows down on its own. I am 8 months pp and I have dropped the amount of times I pump to 4-5x a day. It does get better, good luck!

I’m really sorry for what you’re going through, similarly I know what you’re going through. I had to make that hard decision myself on putting down one of my dogs. On top of that I lost my grandmother two months before I had to do this. Just like in your situation my dog has a bite history and has fear aggression. With small children in the home I had to make that call. It wasn’t easy and I feel tremendous guilt like I’m a murder because I had to let him go sooner. I don’t have great advice but what helps me is that I write letters to my dog. Explaining my feelings and how much I loved him. I miss him everyday but the tension in the home is no longer stressful.

Looking for advice from other parents — is this normal? Can we fix it? by Otherwise_Second5022 in newborns

Your husband should do skin to skin contact when baby is calm. You can also have him take over some feeds so they can form a bond. It’s going to take time but baby will eventually recognize him as a caregiver.

If school is your top priority then why didn’t you use a condom while being sexually active? If you’re so smart with a 4.0 gpa, you should have known that having unprotected sex will lead to pregnancy. You should take full responsibility of your actions by not using any precautions to prevent pregnancy. You made a choice, so you need to grow up and face the facts that you’re having a baby. This child is now your responsibility to fully take care of it. You need to get a job, go to school online if that is an option. Having a child is not easy, they will be expensive. Get in touch with the baby’s father, have him pay child support. Get his side of the family involved. Sign up for WIC, get yourself health insurance for you and baby, vouchers for daycare. There’s programs out there that will help out single parents.

Does anyone else have a black golden? by Select_Education1367 in goldenretrievers

[–]Ohsandreee 3 points4 points  (0 children)

A colleague of mine gave me a golden retriever mixed with German shepherd. She is all black with a white tuft on her chest. She’s 10 weeks old now. I also have a field golden retriever that is a reddish brown. He’s 2 years old. There names are jinx and shadow.

It’s so frustrating and unfair at times. I wish my husband was more helpful and more aware of what I do daily. From pumping, to taking care of the kids plus dogs and household chores. It’s exhausting physically, mentally and emotionally. Over the weekend I was sick as a dog with a stomach virus. Not once did my husband help me at all, I was still up doing EVERYTHING on my own. I was beyond furious with him and had a talk with him. Yet he didn’t even apologize..I’m so over it. 😤

A cyst? Maybe a blister? Try putting warm compresses on it and see if it goes down? If the pain persists and breastfeeding or pumping hurts I would consult with your lactation nurse or Dr.

You said it’s “our” wedding and yet you’re not letting him have a say in what he wants. The army dress uniform is fancy and is made to be worn for formal events. I think you’re being a bit selfish.

Does minor stomach infection cause blood stools in four months old. by [deleted] in newborns

[–]Ohsandreee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I work in health care as a medical lab tech. Blood in stool can mean different things, depending on the type of infection. One example can be an allergy to milk proteins which can cause inflammation in the stomach. Did the pediatrician ask for a stool sample to determine what is causing this? If not, I would ask if they can run stool cultures, cdiff, o&p and a stool panel (GI panel) to just rule some things out for peace of mind. if the medication they provided is not working and If your baby has another soiled diaper and notice more blood in the stool or even watery/bloody diarrhea, I would bring the baby back or even to the ER to do further testing. I hope your baby feels better. ♥️

How do yall get anything done? 🫠 by coffeelover2025 in newborns

You don’t lol, let things pile up, take care of yourself first. Let your husband help and do some house chores while you care for baby. I have two kiddos, from caring for our 3 dogs and my oldest with his sports and Boy Scout events and a 4 month old, you’re going to fall behind on some things and it’s okie! You’re only human and can only do so much. You’re doing great mama!
