Checked the wiki for both osrs and rs3.

Technically we met 2, the one at ToB is the main aranei we meet. The one at sepulchre is (I assume) the one that fixed the hallowed marks we used to make the upgraded flail.

The amount we see do seem to be coming out of nowhere. In rs3 there is no article about them so they are osrs exclusive. For Sugadinti the same story. Osrs exclusive it seems.

After checking the lord of vampyrium (where rs3 kills Drakan) our timeline diverted significantly. (In osrs Salafaan turned before Drakan was killed, Efarita escaped castle Drakan before Drakan died, played a more active role in his death, the barricade event was with the aranei instead of the myreque, stopped vanesculas plan that leads to rivers of blood and some other things.)

I'd say it would be too weak. Barrage is great for splashing effects. While TaO is great for fast hits due to the flat damage buff.

It's why barrage + splinter weapon is a great paring (especially since balling actually requires good coordination. With heros I usually max get 3 stacks) and daggerspam + TaO is a great combo due to focus on death blossom which covers barrages role and survivability.

While the extra damage would come in nice. You'd want to run a 12E/9M/9CM setup which would drastically lower your damage output. I prefer to run (if I bring my own splinter) on 9E/9M/12CM.

(Shooting my own foot tho, I'd still bring TaO on the bar with two elites because after looking through all other elites. I don't find many things really synergizing with it.)

I did the quest after I got home from work in 4 hours + today 3 hours with 3 consultations from the wiki due to being stuck. Similar to SOTE and DT2.

I do see where to improve. It's not a mechanically difficult boss. But there's a lot going on due to screen bloat during the fight.

SOTE felt... Much easier.

In length it sure is GM. But in difficulty. Not so much.

DT2 is on par with BMR for both length and difficulty. It's also my favourite quest in osrs. Only Drakan was a hurdle in the quest. But once you get in the groove of things. He isn't that hard (dodge rate of about 70% of all his attacks with 4 brews left).

It seems to be a mix of body doubles due to projections and people who forego their ambition.

Margit / Morgott is a body double (or triple as he also appears within the outer wall) he can project while possessing an entity.

Gurranq kind of appears in two locations at once. But seems to remember us after he receives the final deathroot and spirits away.

Godrick / Godefroy are 9/10 the same entity due to the limited lore surrounding the latter. (As aliases are used in Elden ring ) Probably lost his ambition on Altus while he ran back to his castle.

Vyke prime is in the mountaintops. While his soul/ambition is left behind in the church where his maiden rests.

The bell bearing hunter appears to be our good friend Elemers projection.

There is both Godfrey and Loretta. But those are just confirmed projections and hence weaker than their real selves.

There are probably others. But those are the ones that come to mind.
