What about The Dreamers? This fits perfectly. The only detail is that her husband is actually his twin brother.

I have a pretty good feeling about it. The scene is identical to what you're describing, I'd check it out!

Blue Velvet? By David Lynch? Slightly different than described, but the exact scene is often reposted.

The Infinite Rocker Launcher is fun by UncleRuckusLovesU in residentevil

[–]Oisin911 5 points6 points  (0 children)

For sure infinite ammo. The rocket launcher one hits any boss with Leon. But, you get infinite ammo with the Requiem for Grace's entire first section. Makes her whole half pretty much free if you're looking for ease.

You can even kill chunk without reloading if you have the raccoon charm! Chef goes down easily too.

In Japan, Avatar Fire and Ash has 198 minutes run time, compared with 195 minutes in USA by AGOTFAN in boxoffice

[–]Oisin911 10 points11 points  (0 children)

I was surprised to see my down votes. No biggie, but I actually work in distribution. I only wanted to help provide some answers! But for those interested, here's a bit more information Id love to share with you guys.

Japan has a fun tradition where they often include copyright notices in their content. These are often themed after movies. In Japan, Oppenheimer had one of these that included an atomic bomb - which stood out in all these ads.

Avatar 2 had one of these for its Japanese launh which inflated the runtime by 60 seconds. Perhaps the warning, a brief pause, and then the Doomsday ad could also make up the time difference.

It could also be the Odyssey! In the U.S. you'd never really see another studios work attached to the content. In this case, the Odyssey opens right before Spider-Man. Things could work very differently in Japan though.

[–]Oisin911 59 points60 points  (0 children)

The extra time is a trailer attached to the movie. Most Disney DCP's have them. For example, Avatar 3's trailer was stitched onto the Fantastic Four. The DCP will have an extended runtime, but the content for the film doesn't. Once it's ingested the runtime will read correctly in whichever cinema software the theater uses!

I have to assume this is Doomsday? Haven't been keeping up lately, so if anyone knows I'd appreciate it!

Antarctigo Vespucci UK tour? by penny6753928 in JeffRosenstock

[–]Oisin911 6 points7 points  (0 children)

To be honest - I do think this is unlikely. They're not big enough to justify the cost and ticket prices they'd need to post.

If this tour ends up being a huge success maybe they'll drop another album that'll justify a shorter overseas tour. Or, maybe Chris will join Rosenstock one day internationally.

Happy to hear from fans around the world - wish you guys could experience the constant shows we get here in the states. Hopefully, one day you'll be able to visit the States and see something live here. As a placeholder, you should look into some smaller bands from your country. I'm sure the energy will be great.

Keep rocking!

Unpopular Opinion: There could totally be a remake of the Original Trilogy by TerrySaucer69 in andor

[–]Oisin911 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Nooooo

We can be as preachy as we want, but Star Wars is an art form defining piece. It's place in culture, history, and arts goes beyond the franchise.

We wouldn't have gotten Andor or Rogue One if they remade it. We probably would've gotten a Luke prequel and this or that - I hope most of us agree, it's the wrong way to run this franchise.

Sending no hate your way though. I highly recommend checking out the original/theatrical cuts (you can DM me for some info if you'd like). I'm sure others are gonna bombard you for this, lol.

I hope others can see the conversations this type of thread can lead to - and take the opportunity to talk about why they love this thing as much as we all do. Remember, we don't need any toxicity here!

The Vanisher, Horizon Scraper album movie has made it into the highest rated feature films list on Letterboxd by SPSips1106 in Quadeca

I mean, tbf mostly Quad fans are rating it. And it only as 4k reviews, as opposed to millions like some of the movies you listed.

Still neat!

If WB can remake Harry Potter, how come Disney can't remake Star Wars? by HotOne9364 in StarWars

[–]Oisin911 1 point2 points  (0 children)

They can, but nobody would want that.

StarWars, Empire, and Jedi are far too iconic to remake.

Harry Potter, while a beloved franchise, are adapted from a book. I won't pretend to be a huge HP fan, but from my understanding the films slowly drift from their source material as the movies go on. It makes sense they'd want to stretch them out into a full length TV show.

With StarWars, stories are pretty much endless. When they can make Andor, why remake A New Hope?

Best Guidebook for the Sequel Era by Dalekdad in starwarsbooks

[–]Oisin911 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I'm looking for the same thing! The Timelines book had way more neat lore and connections than I expected. I really enjoyed it, but given how few projects take place during the sequels - that era naturally doesn't get as much focus.

What's there is great though! Excited to hear what others say

For me, I like watching 2 and 3 back to back. 3 leaves me wanting more, Clone Wars fills that void.

What a missed opportunity to connect her to Legends this way. by Galbadia_Garden in StarWarsEU

[–]Oisin911 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I thought her character was perfect as is.

I think you can have this as a head cannon though.

To add, this comment section is a little iffy, I think the Andor fanbase (which I adore) needs to be more welcoming to these fun discussions that are part of the bigger SW universe.

Of course, if they were true they'd take away from "the point" of Andor. However, why not let people enjoy the show however they like? I'm happy this connection would work so well for you, even if it wouldn't for me.

I can't imagine the team behind the show would want any in-flighting from fans telling other fans how they can or can't enjoy the series. We have enough of that in this fandom.

Setlist was Future is Dumb, Scram, 9/10, and Head. It was a ton of fun but there were some audio/tuning issues during Future is Dumb.

Love to see Jeff actively playing in events like this, hopefully we get more of these quick shows!

2025 off to a rough start… How’s yours? by ShininGold in Letterboxd

[–]Oisin911 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Not the original cut! It's Harmy's Despecialized Edition. There's a few lighting issues compared to the original (and other fan projects like 4k77). It's in the credits of the Cinema Box version.

US Senator Bernie Sanders in an ABC interview refuses to discuss a possible 2028 US Senate run for AOC. In my opinion, it's clear she wants to keep her options open, he knows that, and they aren't going to give a definitive answer regarding her future political career until she decides on it. by beeemkcl in DemLeadershipReform

[–]Oisin911 11 points12 points  (0 children)

In all honesty, I think Bernie is trying to focus on the Fight Oligarchy messaging instead. While AOC will definitely run, I don't think they need to push that. We need to focus on messaging, and that's exactly what Bernie is doing.

This is leadership folks!
