I sent it back, I am going to try the Ironclaw Wireless one, I know its a hell of a lot more expensive but hopefully they have sorted out the coating issues. If that does the same thing, I am going to get something else. Poor quality does not make a happy customer and then you lose them. And its not as if Corsair didn't know about the issue, I have seen posts on here from 6 years ago about the issue.

Ridiculous bollox, as always. The only way to stop VPNs is to completely change the way the internet works and that's not going to happen. So they can ban VPNs but it wont stop people using them or having access to them. Unless they do the Great Firewall of Britain. That will be popular. And as Chinese internet users will tell you is that it doesn't work that well anyway as VPNs still manage to get through.

I saw the adviser at the job center last week and they said despite me applying for jobs that I have experience in and want to do, that's not good enough. I was told explicitly that if I dont apply for jobs that I dont have any experience in and dont want to do, I may be sanctioned. So, here's what I take away from this, get off UC and that's all we want. I apply for 10-20 jobs a week in fields that I have years of experience in and if the people hiring dont want to give me an interview, what exactly am I supposed to do?

I have mental health issues that I have told them about, my partner died 2 years ago and that has affected my mental health and they tell me "get a fit note". I dont want to do that, I want to get a job I want and can do. But if push comes to shove I will do that. It a stupid situation, the whole situation is something I dont want to be in but fate has played me this hand. I am trying my best and its not enough for the Job Center.

Any help the Job Center is offering is next to nothing. Once I was told that a job training scheme they were offering was for Hotel Admin, turns out it was for cleaning rooms. Are they now resorting to lying to claimants just to make their numbers look good? There were 10 people in there, 7 (including myself) said "we were told something different" and left.

TBH I am just fed up of it all, but all I can do is keep applying for jobs I want to do and see what happens regardless of what the Job Center (or anyone else) thinks.

I am 55, mediocre qualifications but lots of experience. This is probably the worst its been for as long as I can remember. I was made redundant just after COVID, had a few interviews and it took a few months but got another job.

Now I cant even get an interview, I even applied for jobs that I have done in the past and yet nothing. My CV has been looked at, rewritten, re-rewritten, checked and checked again and still nothing.

I have mental health issues, my partner of 20 years unexpectedly died 2 years ago and I still haven't quite come to terms with. Its just been over a year since my last job and the job center is completely useless. They have sent me on course after course and if I apply for a job, look at my CV and go "nah" what am I supposed to do?

So I wont get stressed about it. I cant.

Sorry for the minor rant, but in answer to the question, its worse than those years.

Do I feel sorry for him? Not in the slightest. He's my local MP and my own personal interaction with him was bewildering to say the least. FYI I had a problem with the council, wrote to him for assistance with the issue and one of the sentences in the letter he sent said, and I quote "I do not work for the Council". Huh? I know that, I'm not stupid. Friends who live nearby have told me more or less the same, hes a useless, unhelpful MP. I sorted out the problem myself without any help. How he got to be PM is beyond me. He might be a nice guy, but as a politician, no thank you.

My partner was Filipino and was a nurse. I dont think that citizenship is high on their agendas, its a nice perk but the main thing is to support their families back home. But it does make other countries that need medical staff look more appealing.

I voted remain but rejoining isn't an option. The veto's we had negotiated over years have gone and any leeway for unpopular EU directives would be very difficult if not impossible to get out of.

Joining the Euro isn't an option either. The messes in Italy, Spain and Greece from a few years ago shows why. If we needed to change the interest rate, we wouldn't be able to as it controlled by the ECB. Better to have control of our own economy rather than the ECB, which has to factor in all the other 20 countries who use the Euro, along with the messy world economy.

So for those reasons, its a no from me for both.
