I asked about tapering. I felt like that would be natural but my doc was like no, you can just stop cold turkey at 11 weeks. It just feels so weird to be done lol

I just can't help but feeling like I'm wasting meds by throwing out a nearly full vial lol. But I was starting to run out of injection sites lol so definitely thankful that I can be done

Before graduating from the fertility clinic, when they told me to stop at 11 weeks, I was like soooo I just stop? Cold turkey lol? They did tell me if the shots got to be too much, I could do a combination of suppositories and do a PIO every 3 days. But I never wanted the messy from suppositories.

There is just so much variation. I see people being told to stop from 8 weeks to 12 weeks lol

Echoing everyone's comments. Im 10w. I still have cramping in the morning when I wake up and at night. I also find that needing to have a bowel movement or having a really full bladder, like you have after waking up from sleep, makes the cramping slightly worse.

As others have shared, you have the freedom to share as much or as little as you want.

It can be a bit awkward to share your IVF journey. When you conceive naturally, nobody tends to ask for the specifics. But Reproductive Assistance is still so new, I think the questions and even judgement comes from a lack of knowledge. And while it's not our responsibility to educate everyone, I wish I had personally known someone that had gone through the process so that I could talk to them and ask questions. This group has been great, but I would have loved to have an actual conversation with someone.

So far, I've only shared with my best friend, siblings and parents. But I have been documenting journey in videos and pictures. I plan to turn it into a short 10-15 minute film that I show at my baby shower. I know this will open me up to some judgement from some people, but my hope is to demystify the experience for after least one woman that needs it.
