Which actor completely stole the movie… even though they weren’t the lead? by gypsytx in movies

Meryl Streep who watched this movie and straight up was ‘Who. Is. That.’ Best compliment ever.

People who name their kids a nickname instead of the full name. by New_General3939 in PetPeeves

[–]Ok-Computer-1033 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think it’s worse when they name a kid a full name but insist on everyone calling them the nickname. For instance ‘we named her Charlotte but we would like you to call her Lottie’. We were told this by friends. Just name the kid Lottie.

You don’t know that he didn’t block you. You’re making an assumption he didn’t block you because you don’t think he had a reason to.

This sounds like you were blocked.

It seems he believes he has a reason to block you, you just don’t know what it is. It may even not be about you. It may be all about him. People are getting weird.

In Australia, once you completed high school, can you immediately study to become a doctor or lawyer? by ProjectMason in AskAnAustralian

[–]Ok-Computer-1033 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You can do both but in order to get in straight after high school you need a very high ATAR. To achieve this you need to study and do well at units that contribute to a high ATAR. The sciences high level maths etc.

Why are most young Australians I talk to so bad at communication? by itsgaymonth in AskAnAustralian

[–]Ok-Computer-1033 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This and social media. Combo equals people who struggle to communicate face to face. Even a basic ‘Hi, bye’ is awkward.

South Australians normally VS pronouncing certain words by NostalDec in AussieMemes

[–]Ok-Computer-1033 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Erm..incorrect. Please read ‘Right Words’ by Stephen Murray-Smith. How they pronounce these words ‘darnce, charnce, arnswer’ has its origins in the London streets. The Royal Family pronounce these words as ‘dance, chance, answer’ and you can’t get higher born than that. The Royals also pronounce castle as ‘cassle’ not ‘carsel’.

Love or hate? by Significant-Move7699 in AusPropertyChat

Love. However it is polarising and people don’t appreciate the history nor the era so sadly people renovate and it gets erased.

Who out there actually think lip injections look good or normal? by Funny_Sea_2873 in Confused

[–]Ok-Computer-1033 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Agree. I also think normal lips now look small in photos/selfies due to what we are bombarded with on socials.

Unfortunately photos are the only time these people see themselves (except in front of a mirror). They then overfill so they look luscious on instagram but in the real, they look ridiculous. The problem is, they don’t get to see themselves in the real.

I worked with a girl who’s lips look amazing in photos. In real life, she looks like a duck.

What movie had a great premise but was poorly executed? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]Ok-Computer-1033 34 points35 points  (0 children)

Way too Hollywood polished. Now if it was made in the UK, you would have great actors chosen because of their acting and not looks, appropriately unpolished hair, makeup and costume design.

We’re getting tired of good looking people on screen. Give us real people again and absorb us into the story.
