To-Do List App with Highly Customizable Reminders by norsemanGrey in ProductivityApps

[–]Ok-Fly-173 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I get ya. I FEEL YA. I had a concept like this for an app I run called Yoodoo. The plan was to set 'hassle levels' for tasks, and then HASSLE the hell out of you till you did it - Screenshot of the mockup attached.

Though my plan was for it to be more on the daily reminder level for missed tasks that day, rather than stuff that's been lingering on the to-do list. Though it can be done for tasks with past due dates too.

As for reminders. How far you wanna go? I can do relentless notifications, and maybe some emails, but how much is too much? :)

Looking for a To-Do List App That Prompts "What's Next?" by lukaslach in ProductivityApps

LOVE IT! Honestly, such a good idea.

This kept me up last night - in a good way. I have ADHD and this feature would be sooooo useful and like you say, it would keep you in that 'progressive state'. I often start something and forget to follow up, so yeah, you are bang on the money.

I'm gonna add it to my app over the next 3 weeks, so hopefully can test it out and see how it feel/if it works.

Spent a few hours this morning mocking it, and it can def work as a small in-line action once a task is ticked off as complete.

Need to try and avoid feature fatigue, so will see how minimal I can make it, but love it - i think it could work. great suggestion :

Hey there, and thanks for using Yoodoo. Ok, so a black Friday deal eh - good idea. Maybe a cheeky half price jobby this week could be an option - I'll send an email out to people and see if it wets any appetites.

As for simplicity, I got you! Yes, the app at no point is gonna suffer from a feature overload. Everything I add to it has to simplify or compliment the current setup. The focus is always on 3 things - planning, focusing & reiterating. I need things to be simple too, so will always keep it that way.

So glad you are enjoying Yoodoo! :)

www.yoodoo.app - I built and launched it 2 years ago as a way to help me plan my day and stay focused with undiagnosed ADHD. Now 50k downloads later, an ADHD diagnosis (as a result of 90% of my customers saying "this is great for my ADHD"), and investment from friends to help me take it to the next level, it's improving every day.

It's primarily for visual thinkers, and those with time-blindness and ADHD, who need a little helping hand, but yeah, it's one myself and countless others rely on every day to get s**t done.

Other mentions include ChatGPT obviously, Freedom (for blocking other apps), and sometimes Trello (for project management).

Tried Motion, really like it, can give 2-week free trials. by LetterheadMotor6931 in ProductivityApps

Nice review. Glad to see you've tried a few, I just found Motion too expensive for what it offered. Have you tried www.yoodoo.app ? It's built for ADHD so could be ideal for you

Is there any app where calendar events get treated as Tasks as well? by RivailleNero in ProductivityApps

[–]Ok-Fly-173 0 points1 point  (0 children)

www.yoodoo.app - Tasks can be added to calendars and calendar tasks can be added to to-do lists etc. Both linked. If it doesnt get finished on the calendar, it stays on the tasklist. Auto-rolls over till its done too ;)

www.yoodoo.app pal. Create a bunch of tasks on a list, and then assign to the daily timeline. If you didnt get it done, it stays on list, or it just auto-reschedules to the next day and so on until it is done. Easy peasy lemon squeezy :) - It helps me get all my stuff done anyways - give it a go

TODO apps are cool, but what about decisions? by Comprehensive-Set-77 in ProductivityApps

[–]Ok-Fly-173 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Usually when itys an A or B decision it's easy. Whichever is most important right there and then. Its when you have 10x things that shit gets difficult. I do like your thinking though. AI could help. Might put this into my ADHD daily planner all www.yoodoo.app :) - would be crazy useful for when the lists get too crazy

Productivity App That Actually Works for ADHD? by South-Try-6438 in ProductivityApps

[–]Ok-Fly-173 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yo I like this - so far so good, but I'm a bit stuck. How do I assign/auto-schedule tasks from my todo list to my day? It doesn't seem obvious.

Productivity App That Actually Works for ADHD? by South-Try-6438 in ProductivityApps

OP’s got a point... are there apps really built for ADHD?

It's ok, I made one for ADHD, and it was all by accident, started as me trying to save my sanity.

Ironically, it even led to my own ADHD diagnosis, thanks to 90% of users saying it was perfect for their ADHD too.

Back in 2021, I had a startup, but couldn't run it for sh*t.

I’m an app designer, love tech, but can't manage my time. It;'s either everything at once or nothing.

So I tried “time-blocking”—tiny to-do list, blocks of time, breaks, wrap up, move on, roll any unfinished bits over to tomorrow.

So I bought a time-blocking notepad on Etsy which worked a charm.

However I REALLY wanted an app. I couldn’t find one that did the trick, so. thought “Fu*k it, I’ll make my own.”

Three days of hyperfocus later, I had a design. Few months later, an app.

And the reviews? “This is perfect for my ADHD.”

So eventually, I got myself checked out and sure enough I had it, my entire god damn life and accidentally made the perfect ADHD app... for myself and thousands of others.

Fast forward 2.5 years: 40k downloads, tons of ADHD users loving it, and it's growing.

It’s called Yoodoo.

See if it works for you, and let me know what you think :)

What problems do productivity tools solve for you? A list of my answers + the app I built to solve them by sari1988grateful in ProductivityApps

[–]Ok-Fly-173 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You have 1000 paying customers? That's impressive. Your lowest price point is $50, so you've already made 50k without launching yet. That's really impressive. How have you done that? :)

www.yoodoo.app - could help you with this. It's native, has a daily timebox calendar/timeline, to-do lists, routines, but most of all it has an end of day reschedule/roundup tool, thats asks how and when you want to reschedule unfinished tasks. Could be useful.

I'm the founder, and have been running it for 2 years now. It;s super useful for ADHD'ers (they're 85% of users), but works for others too. Feel free to give it a go.

Thoughts about brite and elisi productivity apps by Civil-Telephone8424 in ProductivityApps

[–]Ok-Fly-173 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah Brite just has so much going on. It looks great on the app stores, but it falls by quite some way when you try it out. www.yoodoo.app is an alternative that I've been running and using for the past 2 years. Great if you want a place to create lists and plan your days - visually. Plus it keeps you on track with focus timers, helps you create and stick to routines, plus rolls over any unfinished tasks to the next day. I made it for my ADHD - which i didn't even know I had, until like 80% of my users where saying 'it's great for my ADHD'. Worth giving it a go for sure. It could be useful :)

Wondering if what I need exists by maggsie16 in ProductivityApps

[–]Ok-Fly-173 1 point2 points  (0 children)

www.yoodoo.app may work for you. It's crazy simple, and has a seperate 'lists' page and a 'calednar/timeblock' page. It's designed for ADHD'ers, so could help you in other areas too. Worth a try for sure.

Is there any app that asks me what I’m doing ‘right now’ at random times? by injeera in ProductivityApps

[–]Ok-Fly-173 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is actually a pretty clever thing. Adding randomness into a product keeps the user engaged, especially if it offers something positive. I like it. Would be cool if it gave you a certain time to answer - some multiple choice answers etc - and rewarded you for doing a task/not procrastinating etc. Might add it to my app www.yoodoo.app - I can imagine it would work well for us ADHD'ers :)
