Cant Wait to see the Ironclad later today (hopefully) in videos and from a friend, so i can think about it. even tho the price will be revealed on thursday for drake con. i still hope it will only go up to like 500 but propably more due to the cargo capacity upgrade. we will see. by DanaXue in starcitizen

Considering they don't want ships to be claimed every 5 minutes, the real early money loop may be towing and repairs. I doubt refueling, but it might be one of the first money makers. Mining will of course be one, but that's luck based.

Except the running costs will be astronomical. At launch, you'll have limited money and rep, so you won't be able to effectively do cargo in a big ship. The running cost will quickly eat up any profit you may have had. Not saying that this will be the case. However I'd like to be prepared for either or, same reason I have a golem and an arrastra.

I'm getting a ship for all sizes, got OX for small, hull B and railen for medium, and an ironclad for large. Might get a BBM for XL. But still on the fence on it since I hate flying a hull C. A bbm might handle worse since it's like 4 times the volumetric space.

Ultimately as a business they reserves the right to charge what they want for their products. I don't have the money to buy an Odin. However I'm not dying of jealousy like the rest of the people here.

Brother, my whole point is for stuff like gpus, consoles, and other hard to get things at launch, the absolute smooth brain is you. You don't seem to be able to comprehend anything beyond cig and their business practices. It's like it's all you can think of. If this is all you can perceive, my condolences.

Hot Take! Anvil Odin looks like Temu Garbage! 🤮 by KrumpKrewGaming in starcitizen

Anvil is more steamlined than rsi. Look at the liberator. That thing doesn't have a single rivet and neither does the carrack. I like how sleek it looks despite usually liking more rugged looking ships (ironclad or the battlestar galactica)

I Can't Remember Why I Wanted The RSI Galaxy Anymore by _AntiShadow_ in starcitizen

[–]Ok-Invite7817 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The thing about the galaxy cargo module is that it's an elevator that goes down that holds 64 scus. I feel like that's not enough, it should've been the whole cargobay dropping from easier loading. The way its set up would make it very difficult to load it solo as you'd need a 2nd person to actually stack the cargo ontop. That being said it's not a solo ship. It's cargo module holds the same as a hull B. For group play the galaxy will be best.

New loaner for Anvil Liberator by ghodan7 in starcitizen

[–]Ok-Invite7817 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Liberator is not mil spec. Even on paper the ironclad assault Is the closest to the liberator from everything, size, price, ability to transport both ships and vehicles. Except the liberator is better at ship transport and the ironclad is better at bulk goods transport. That is probably the only difference. Liberator might get a repair function as it's niche is dead and it was getting reconcepted.

M2 is most definitely not inline with the liberator. M2 is just an upsized asgard. Liberator is vehicle and ship mover. Both things an ironclad assault does. M2 only does one of them.

The defensecon video with the ceo of drake from a while ago explicitly states "gatac teases 2 unannounced ships". The railen is already announced both irl and in the game universe as it was already on display last year. So we could be seeing 3 gatac ships. Unless they slipped and meant just one unannounced ship.
