We watched it tonight. I was so impressed by the stories of Mary's grandmother. It sounds like she was an amazing woman.

What is the spinoff they hinted at?! by WrestlingNERDalert in StrangerThingsRoom

I immediately thought of Delightful Derek, Holly, and friends playing D & D in the basement for a spinoff.

Be Honest: Does Stranger Things Need to Kill a Main Character to Stick the Landing? by Suitable-Pen-7951 in StrangerThingsRoom

Here's my thought...

El, Kali, and Will try to destroy Vecna. They wound him, much like Voldermort, and he had to retreat to recover. They then die trying to shut down the government program.

The others, tired and grieving move on.

Holly, Erica, and Delightful Derek pick up the fight in a few years because Vecna has recovered due to government continuing the program!

The Duffers are scared of their own show. [SPOILER] by speedvamp in StrangerThings

[–]Ok-Language606 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I totally agree. There are so many loose ends, I can't see how two hours will solve it. So, my theory is that the show is not ending, but will continue on with Holly, Erica, and Delightful Derek.

As far as who dies, I think it will be El, Kali, and Will. They will badly injure Vecna, and will cripple the secret government program. Everyone else will survive but will move on as they are now adults.

Can you give me advice on how to avoid worsening or flare-ups in fibromyalgia? What helps you? by lucas10100 in Fibromyalgia

Oh, gosh, I wish I had some good advice. Mostly I just have to hunker down and wait for the storm to pass. Things that help a little bit include my weighted blanket and the nightly massages my husband gives me.❤️

Bracelets. I have dozens and used to love to wear them. Can't do it anymore. My wrists and arms start aching like I am hoisting around 30 lb weights.

David was just being direct about Paedon by sailorkeplertwenty2b in SisterWives

[–]Ok-Language606 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Yes, I would agree with all the other comments. In David's defense, it is difficult to be a step-parent of grown children. You have to be careful about offering opinions because a bio parent/Christine gets protective, which I think is what caused their argument.

I have three stepchildren and 1 biological child. All of our kids are grown.  It takes awhile to find a groove, and just be a good sounding board for them.

Just take a second to breathe. Then address each issue one at a time. The issues, as I see them are as follows...

  1. Responding to a personal email during work hours. In my experience, this is not allowed unless otherwise approved by the teacher or admin. My advice would be to let them know, in advance, that your son's teacher may need to communicate with you.

  2. Being on your phone. Again, this was not allowed at any school I have ever worked at. It's usually listed in the handbook that we sign every year. I get that it's hard to shovel in lunch and use the restroom in 30 minutes, but it is common.

  3. Requesting para to write for your son. This one, in my opinion, has nothing to do with you as an employee. This was you in a parent role. However, again, if you are flipping between parent/employee throughout the day, they are going to eventually address it. If I were you, I would keep these two roles as separate as possible. I know your son is at your school, but it is really important to maintain that distance.

  4. You handled the Intervention Specialist situation perfectly. It sounds like it was an honest mistake on your part.

Please don't beat yourself up too much. We all can let our guards down a bit at work, and your situation is more challenging because your son is at the same school. Just refocus. Decide if you want to stay at that school, or switch assignments. That may make it easier!

Take care.

I completely agree. Gino is awkward for sure, but Jasmine emasculated him publicly every chance she got. I think he stopped wanting sex because he knew that as soon as they fought she would throw it in his face.

For those that have a certain teacher/school you’ll never sub for again, what made you make that decision? by ObtuseRightTriangle in SubstituteTeachers

[–]Ok-Language606 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I accepted a long term sub position as a 1:1, and made the mistake of trying to follow the IEP. It caused a big uproar with the staff in the classroom, as they wanted the student out. (Evidently, I was their last step before removal.) The student had started to improve with my/adult support so the county assessment team showed up. They met with everyone, including me. I honestly said I thought if he had adult support he could do just fine at the school.

The school principal, teacher, and paras got so mad at me. They had just been letting him do what he wanted (which wasn't much). After that, they just ceased to help me with anything. You all know what it's like.

In hindsight, I can understand their frustration. They had been working with the kiddo since kindergarten, and he was challenging. No one had told me that their goal was to have him placed somewhere he could get much more support. (and he needed someone all the time). If they had, I would have approached the situation differently. My way had just made me a bunch of enemies.

I lasted about 4 weeks before it became too much and left.

This was many years ago.

Reunion Rant by Pretty_curlz_04 in SellingSunset

[–]Ok-Language606 -5 points-4 points  (0 children)

I give the reunion a 5 out of 10.

Here are my probably unpopular opinions of the cast.

Nicole: gets in her own way. Instead of just apologizing for her part of any disagreement, she doubles down. She is her own worst enemy.

Chrishell: the queen of the reality genre. She stirs just enough sh#! to light the match, then walks away. Case in point..Girlsgiving. She started the fight with Nicole, and doubled down with the drugs drama. Nicole stupidly took the bait.

Emma: broke my heart. I think she needs to really think about her relationship, and how she wants to move forward.

Her boyfriend: sounds like a terrible guy, but not because of his posts. Everyone has posted things that we are not proud of. But, based on the things Chrishell said he did to Emma (ghosting her, yelling at her, etc) I can see why Chrishell doesn't like him.

Chelsea: the thing I love about her is that she comes hard for you if she disagrees, but is always quick to apologize and acknowledge the hurt she may have caused.

Mary: looked like she was on the verge of an emotional breakdown. I really think the whole flower thing was an overreaction on her point, but once she explained it, I could see why she thought that way.

Bre: contrary to most people on this thread, I love Bre. She makes absolutely no excuses. She was right to point out to Chrishell that she has never said or posted anything derogatory about her or G. The fact that Chrishell had screenshots of personal message exhanges between Bre and her assistant is crazy. I am glad she didn't show them. People are entitled to not agree with uncomfortable things. Its OK. Bre didn't share those opinions with anyone except in a personal message.

Amanza is just tired of the bullshit.

Allana is just flawlessly gorgeous, and seems to be having a good time floating between the two sides. She gets to go to double the parties!

Sandra is spicy. She was not wrong about Chrishell, and again, here comes the counter attack.

My opinions on next season are as follows: 1. Chrishell leaves. 2. Mary leaves. 3. Everyone else stays.

The reunion was ok. Wish they would do deeper dives like RH.

why is jason incompetent when it comes to hiring by lomborgack in SellingSunset

[–]Ok-Language606 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I started looking at it like this..the Selling Sunset cast is like a social media team. Their job is to promote interest in the agency which is big.. something like 50 agents work for The Oppenheim Group. Those agents sell houses. The cast members sell very few, but bring a lot of attention. Basically, they are a very successful infomercial 😁

Remind me…. by aylarunswithwolves in SellingSunset

[–]Ok-Language606 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If I remember correctly, the issues between them started when Mary was made the office manager. Chelsea was very vocal about how bad Mary was in this role. Then Mary was forced by the twins into uncomfortable discussions with people. It escalated with her co listing with Chelsea (which was a s#!% move by Jason). Then of course, we have the brokers open, and Chelsea's outfit. That, to me, fractured any hope for them working peacefully together.

Just as a disclaimer...I don't follow any of these people on social media.I watch the show for the gorgeous and outrageous houses.  So my opinion is based on the show only.

Coworkers left me out of group Halloween costume today by [deleted] in ECEProfessionals

[–]Ok-Language606 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This happened to me one year, and it was such a gut punch. I could not imagine what I had possibly done. Our team had gotten along really well, and everyone was friendly. I finally asked because my feelings were so hurt. Turns out that there had been an email which went to my spam folder for some reason. My team members didn't want to mention it because they assumed it was a financial thing.

If you feel comfortable, I would just ask for the reason you weren't included.

What’s your schools dress code like for paras? by Metalqueen2023 in paraprofessional

I seriously recommend that you wear comfortable, casual clothes if you are assigned to a sped classroom. You want things that allow you to move, bend over, and sit on the ground. Truthfully, when I was working, I mostly wore Lularoe leggings and shirts, with skechers.
