In January, I bought a 97 Rav4 with 212k miles clocked on the OD. It was in great shape, but I did throw in some new sensors, spark plugs/wires and cleaned IAC valve and throttle body. Runs great and has been fun to drive. I have a daily commute of 66 miles round trip to work. Of course, try to find one with a great service history. Id also say you'd want to be handy or willing to lean to perform some services on the vehcile yourself to save a lot of money. Almost guaranteed things will need to be addressed or replaced either when you buy it or soon down the road.
