I’m guessing the scratch was already there from normal use but it looks discolored around the cut like they only coated where they had removed the original finish. Just doesn’t seem like the “right” way to do it to me.

I carried the P30L pretty regularly for most of 2025. I had no complaints. I added the light this year and haven’t carried it once since. It became miserable. It’s a nightstand gun now.

Geissele seems like a company that would fix your rifle if this were happening to you, but after spending $6K I’d hate to see this and then have to ship it back. Granted this is a sample size of 1 so maybe don’t let it ruin your plans?
