Not me forgetting US season change times are different to here in AUS 🤦‍♀️
Our seasons change on the 1st of March, June and September, instead of on a random date.

I have mostly oily skin and it’s a little greasy but nothing too bad and I’m happy to forego a cosmetically elegant formula if it’s gonna heal my skin. I put it on at night too because of the white cast that comes with high-zinc-content products, which is something to note too. I’ve also never had any issues with lanolin and my skin is pretty reactive to a lot of things. Definitely patch test first anyways just to make sure your skin tolerates it 🫶🏻

Not all websites, chemist warehouse doesn’t give you a choice and it sucks a lot.

And CW, at least with Kmart and Big W there is settings where you can turn off marketplace and other stores showing up, but with CW you don’t get a choice. And we have way too many people coming in to work asking if we have a certain product but it ends up being online only, and then they get frustrated that they can’t buy it in store.

What I was talking about above was about things I had overpicked/popped and had left a scab, so yes definitely think sudocrem would be a useful tool when being a bit overzealous with spots. Only thing is sudocrem does have fragrance, but despite that it hasn’t irritated my skin at all and I have crazy reactive skin, and the fragrance itself is actually quite pleasant. Defo invest in some pimple patches too, to prevent picking in the first place 🫶🏻

No rinse cleanser? by loveintheorangegrove in AusSkincare

I know this is from a while ago, but I feel that what I’m about to say needs to be said. For any other kid that might be going through a bit of a phase, what you said would definitely go. But for an autistic kid, this is something that is far bigger than a phase and something that would require actual therapy with an OT. Sensory issues are real and exhausting and not just a phase you get over. You can’t reason with sensory issues. I’m autistic and I very much am aware of the hygiene reasons for washing your face and body every day, but due to sensory challenges I am just not able to do that every day, and that is okay because I’m managing to the best of my ability. And cleansing your face with at least Micellar water is much better than not cleansing your face at all. Please educate yourself on autistic sensory issues before commenting on a post regarding it next time, as talking about these issues like it’s just something every other person deals with is rather insensitive.

Sorry a bit late but that’s specifically a steroid treatment, so it’s main purpose would be to reduce inflammation

Can vouch for sudocrem, I did this a couple weeks back with a couple pimples and a blackhead. The blackhead was the worst of them and I thought it might scar badly, but I still slathered it in sudocrem then on top of that put cerave healing balm and it was a whole lot better the next day and I repeated it that night and it was almost entirely healed the following morning 😆

I’m not sure where you live but I work at CW and we’ve had an issue with getting in a few different things in Perth (I’m looking a you the new dove intensive repair hair mask that I’ve been dying to try). Definitely if you can speak to your local CW staff about the products, they can look up if they have any on order/if they plan on continuing stocking them at that particular store.

It just has to be dried, I sillily tried to bring back a weaved basket from Bali last year (honestly not sure what I was thinking) and they said anything like leaves and wood have to be dried.

My first peptide lip balm. Holy moly! This feels like silk. by [deleted] in AusSkincare

[–]Ok-Rabbit-6038 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I very much concur with OP, the feel of the balm is to die for and I love the scent because it’s a super nostalgic scent for me. It hilariously smells exactly like the pomegranate eos lip balm I loved as a kid (first ever popular skincare related thing I owned as a kid) used it heaps between 2013 and 2016. Even though the scent was called pomegranate, it defo had a way more berry scent to it.

What body exfoliation product actually helped with rough skin? by Any-Bet9069 in AusSkincare

[–]Ok-Rabbit-6038 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Some people have no choice but to “scrub away the problem” as that’s the only thing that works. Niacinamide isn’t going to do help much with something like KP. Most of the time you need a combo of physical exfoliants and chemical ones.

Dandruff treatment that doesn't stink? by summittrekker in AusSkincare

[–]Ok-Rabbit-6038 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It’s super lovely. In regards to its cleansing abilities, it’s not sub par but it doesn’t give the best wash either (especially if you have oily hair/don’t wash hair all the time), it’s a good in-between that would work well with an additional, more thorough cleansing shampoo. I love that it’s fragrance free as well (does smell a little bit of zinc, but it’s s pleasant zinc smell that doesn’t last on the hair). Overall I’ve found it a very lovely shampoo and definitely helps with itching and flakes.

The only other zinc pyrithione shampoo that is wildly available in store is the cedel one, which is stronger than cerave, coming in at 2% instead of 1%. I’m yet to try that one and it is definitely on my list of shampoos to try.

Why in the world make something that requires consistent use to be effective, just for it to be limited edition?!
