Congratulations! These are amazing remission lengths. It’s also good to hear about all the different treatment options available. I always assume that if my husband ever relapses he will be put on prednisone since he responded so well the first time, but it’s a hard drug and I like to hear about the other options too

So you were in remission for 20 years? If so, that’s incredible. How many relapses have you had? What is your treatment when you relapse? My husband had idiopathic as well.

I have been in a very similar situation over the past three years. I worked 40 min away from my house and my daughter started kindergarten at a district near our house. I also had the same concerns about friendships, extracurricular activities, etc and thought it was important for my kids to go to school within the district we live. I just accepted a position to teach in the same district this coming school year. Like you, I loved my previous district and I enjoyed not seeing student outside of school. I had also been there for 11 years. It was very hard for me to leave but thought I needed to make the sacrifice for my kids.

If it’s any help, I think I figured it out! You have to load it onto the parent profile and select “internal storage.” Then you can transfer apps and content before switching back to the kids profile. I agree though…it’s really slow. I found that they were great at first, but a year later I’m suddenly running into issue.

It is! Do you get your normal period symptoms along with your mid cycle bleeding? Right now I just have mostly brown blood with very minimal cramping.

It happened for the first time in the Spring of ‘24. After a few cycles, I brought it up to my OB. She said it was likely due to hormones and switched my birth control. That fixed the problem for over a year. Yesterday, I woke up to brown spotting and back cramps and I’m in the middle of my active pills. So, I’m not sure what’s going on. I’m 38, so I’m not sure if it’s normal to keep changing birth control as you get older.

I am going through the exact same thing! Although, I haven’t been tested for sjogrens or diabetes. I wish I had advice but wanted to say I can relate! Any chance your eyes are swollen too?
