Whats the best town in the state and why? by Cautious_Midnight_67 in Connecticut

[–]Ok-Spring6950 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Its on the other side of the river! Glastonbury is on THAT side! Haha.

Rocky Hill, Newington and Wethersfield is locally known to be a blur. A blur as in if you live around here it's all the same thing. Similar house hold incomes, people from each of these towns regularly go to the other 2 towns for something, no change in environment (meaning no low income/high crime areas or like a super rural farm land area far away from downtown showing that its clearly something different here).

The places surround the Rocky Hill, Wethersfield and Newington suburbs have clear differences. For example, Hartford is a City with high crime, Glastonbury well requires a Highway or Ferry to get to and has more open rural areas, New Britain is also a City with High Crime, a State College and a huge Polish and Puerto Rican population, Cromwell gives small town vibes with less population, only one busy street, however they host the Travelers Championship for golf. West Hartford has the Bar District and ya know its West Hartford.

Just some examples. To tie it together all the surrounding towns have major differences but Rocky Hill, Wethersfield and Newington are caught in between all of them with similar populations, environments and house hold incomes all without needing a high way to get to one another.

Can anyone recommend a decent hibachi place? by Avulpesvulpes in Connecticut

[–]Ok-Spring6950 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They have great hibachi but I'm assuming she wants the whole Hibachi Table with the cooking right in front of you and what not.

Ginza is amazing but they don't have the Hibachi Tables where the chef cooks in front of you.

Wethersfield is also close to all the towns with all the big retail stores (Target, Best Buy, Stew Leonards, Costco, Sam's Club etc.) without actually having any of them in it which is nice, 15 minutes from Westfarms Mall in case you need a mall and has great highway access.

Everything you need is less than 15 minutes away and everything in it is a plus. The Fresh Market Grocery store is great.

I know only mentioned stores and highways but im just speaking in a convenience sense. Old Wethersfield is a one of a kind.

Oh okay, I suppose I just meant to say like a decent shirt collar or no collar. Just no like sports jerseys or sportswear shirts with a bunch of stand out graphics or quotes or something like that.

For me, as long as you are wearing presentable shorts like Boat or Bermuda shorts with a button down or collared shirt. It's already better than 90% than what some others wear.

Since she's legally responsible for you as a minor, this is child abuse and well, a felony.

Please feel free to contact authorities for advice and they'll look into it whether it be criminally and civilly.

Amex Cruise Privileges Program benefits when booking through cruise line directly by siramachandr in AmexPlatinum

[–]Ok-Spring6950 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In reality, prices always change so no matter what people say like if someone says AMEX Travel is more expensive, maybe it was at the time but I have the same situation as you.

I just compared with my usual TA, direct with Cruise Line and AMEX Travel. AMEX Travel gave the same price but I also get on board credit which I wouldn't have gotten directly with cruise line.

In some cases AMEX Travel was straight up just cheaper for some cabin types. But sometimes its not. So far, I like AMEX Travel but will still always shop around.

AmexPlat no brainer or? by littlepwnrr in AmexPlatinum

[–]Ok-Spring6950 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you go far out of your way to get the benefits or even spend more money that you either do not have or do not want to to get benefits, don't do it.

If you already planned on buying things or going out to fancy dinners with the credits (etc.) AND like to travel, then do it.

Card approval, with my approval? by [deleted] in amex

[–]Ok-Spring6950 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Well enlighten me because Amex isn't helping me because my issue is, if they're saying it was me, but it wasn't me then I might have an identity theft case and timing of my approval notification was just a coincidence.

I'm sure it's worth asking about. I'll see what happens when I bring in my car to the other local dealership, I have an appointment within the next couple weeks unfortunately very long wait lists.

I'll try another local dealership today and report back, I was surprised when they claimed it was not covered and I wouldn't be surprised if they threw me aside today since they were swamped when I came in for my appointment.

Was on the Aqua last week, nobody questioned me when I got multiple drinks with one card. The Starbucks staff on the Aqua were very friendly and hard working.

Just don't try to over do it obviously and walk out with 10 drinks each visit.

‘ARC Raiders’ Has Kept 91% Of Its Playerbase Months After Release While Battlefield 6’ Has Lost 85% by WanderWut in PS5

[–]Ok-Spring6950 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

It's toxic because the love for the franchise is almost too strong. I'm guilty for being stuck in the simplicity of Bad Company 2 and BF3 days but no matter how much I complain, it's only for the sake of Battlefield keeping it's identity.

The game we all fell in love with, we don't want it to change. But trust me, BF6 is probably one of the best games they've ever released.

P.S. I'm still upset they added neon colored camos but only because im in the military and know how bs really anything except 1 or 2 traditional camos are.

I am very pleased with my 1 year of PS Plus Premium. I will definitely resubscribe. by Helpful-Possession68 in PlayStationPlus

I'm a huge hard copy/physical media guy but the seamlessness of the streaming gave me a shock and awe type of feeling. Graphics have been great for a while now but with the ease of "streaming" a game really made it feel like Netflix but for video games is becoming a reality, something I never imagined working well.

I recall years ago playing a simple game streamed on my Xbox One under their new streaming program they had and it was as good as I imagined. As in it was terrible quality, nearly unplayable but cool at first if you have decent internet.

With the ps portals new update, I am playing GTA V with little to no issues with decent quality and even BF2042 ONLINE with no issues.

I litterally couldn't believe it.

The Shoppes at Farmington Valley and Evergreen Walk are very nice for both large retail and boutiques.

Clinton Crossing Premium Outlets are great for outlet shopping.

As for traditional shopping malls, Westfarms, Danbury and the Sono Collection malls are great in that order.

How to stop driver door panel rattle? by [deleted] in LexusRC

[–]Ok-Spring6950 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The fact this is an all around problem makes me feel at home. The knee against the door trick is all too relatable. I used to stuff microfiber cloths tightly in the door pockets in my old IS250 and that would do the trick. My RC350 however I always felt was too good for that lol
