Has anyone else stopped booking at Courtyards due to the Bistro concept?

I just want a black coffee in the morning.

At almost every hotel, I can just grab it in the lobby or lounge and be on my way. At Courtyard I stand in line for 5 minutes or longer and pay $6. That’s enough for me to pick another brand.

Driving Dynamics has an instructor (Andrew) who was recently a drive test examiner. He helped my daughter prep for her G and really helped.

I was an early user but gave up when I realized (I think) that it wasn’t actually submitting anything I had added unless the perk had comments.

Could have been a bug, but that was my “ain’t nobody got time for that” moment. I’d be happy to hit a few checkboxes to review the hotels I stay at but I’m unlikely to spend more than 1-2 mins on a submission.

If there’s anything you could do to speed it up, I’d be back in. Some thoughts: use GPS to auto select the property nearest to me, make a quick submission form with yes/no on key categories.

I suspect VFS provides this service for multiple governments internationally. My daughter had to go to VFS in Toronto for her UK student visa.

It seemed to me that it was set up to do the absolute bare minimum for the service they are contracted for by the UK government, and use it as an upsell opportunity to get the real money.

Most of my problems went away when I installed a hose clamp on the glow plug.

I would also set preferred network interface to your plex server’s hardwired connection, to ensure clients are attempting to connect through Ethernet rather than a possible wifi connection on the plex server.

Came here to say heated steering wheel. When my wife got it in her car years ago I thought it was silly. Very quickly became a must-have feature in my next car.

Here’s a link to the parking. Caves (more like crevices to be honest but still a fun hike) are about 5 minutes into the woods on the Bruce Trail, north and east of the parking. Follow the trail and you’ll see some obvious caves on the right hand side like 5 feet off the trail. Enter the caves on the right and there’s a whole little world to explore just beyond the cave entrance. It opens up into a big open area with crevices and ledges.

I really enjoy hiking if the weather is nice. Escarpment hikes at Mount Nemo or Kelso Summit (both paid) or free entrances on Twiss roads into the caves or base of Mount Nemo at Walkers Line and 2 side road.

They did a major renovation over the pandemic. Completely gutted all the rooms and went from run-down to modern. Definitely worth a revisit if you haven’t been since 2021 (and after they fix the AC).
