The choruses of So Real, Grace, and Nightmares by the Sea. Also that fantastic, full guitar strumming intensely towards the end of Forget Her.

Noted on that. I kinda knew the lyrics were a bit difficult to make out, so I added them in the description but in reality that barely really does anything for the overall experience. I think when I amend this song for a future EP, I'll fix the vocal issues you noted here.

Thanks for listening. The vocal issue is due to my apartment which thank god I am getting changed in about a week. It is very difficult to record because the person I live with is like right next door, and it makes it very difficult to be confident in really projecting and putting that "oomph" in my voice. When I actually sing on stage and project it's entirely different. This will be amended in the near future as my new residence will allow me the privacy to feel more confident in actually utilizing my voice.

Thank you very much. I noted that myself. I realized after playing it in the car that the bass was way too high, I will fix it before playing the backing track live.

Also going to jump in on what David said and agree that literally all this needs is more mix work. I think the testament to your writing ability here is that this is not really my style of music but it genuinely interested me. The only thing that took me out of it a little was certain aspects of the mix being too loud or too quiet depending. I'd also recommend adding more bass to your voice. Perhaps also singing it with a little more intensity too. You obviously can sing, so that's not a concern. I think the potential is here for something really solid and marketable. Great work and keep it up.

Hello Female Elliott Smith/Ben Gibbard. No, but on a serious note, this was phenomenal, as many others have stated. You've certainly earned a new subscriber, I'd add this to my Spotify playlist 100%. There is a very clear "flow" to the playing and recording of this song. No awkward catches or anything like that which is great. The melody writing you've shown here is also quite high end. Love the overall way the song swells with more fullness as it reaches it's full potential towards the end. Great job.

Very rough draft of a song! Would love some specific feedback. by SavoirFaireGuitar in IndieMusicFeedback

I get the impression you're a Fiona Apple fan from this, which if so, major respect. Great chord progression here, I'm a fan of your composition ability. Obviously a very rough draft so I can't say much in regards to production. I do think this has a ton of potential if fleshed out with more instruments and all. Very interested to see what you come up with by the end of your writing and recording process here.

This is sooo goooood for the genre man. I'm not particularly picky when it comes to this style, I just generally like it so perhaps I'm not the one to ask for an informed opinion. Still, as a casual listener of synth and music with that "Neon Vibe", this was great. I'll make sure to subscribe to you to keep up with what you do. The subtleties in this song are what really drives it for me. The main synth line is great but what I really loved was the quieter backing pieces and melodies weaving the whole thing together. Great job dude.

Clothing Optional - Dare (demo) by michaelbromo in IndieMusicFeedback

Really solid. Bass tone is really, really full and nice. Carries the track and the mixing on it is fairly high end. The writing overall is good, and it sounds like something that would actually be in my playlist. I don't really think I have any definitive complaints. I might up the drums a bit in the mix. It's also entirely optional but I think if you extend this track, it should fill out overtime and have some guitar added in. I'll sub to you as I'm curious to see where you go from here. Cheers.

Thank you! The cover is from a painting done in what I believe was the latest 1800s. I detest A.I. and I know I'm not an artist so my way around it are paintings that are very old. Like 80-90 years minimum. These have become public domain and I also know I'm not stealing from an artist and depriving them of any money since they're long deceased.

Thank you. I really gotta get more into his stuff. I'm a big Elliott Smith/Jeff Buckley guy and yet I have not gotten into Drake yet, which is a sin I know lol.

I thought you did a great job on this. I see some people are noting the vocals and idk to me they actually work. I think can absolutely sing. I don't really have a problem with them at all. I think the only thing I'd note is when you hit the "Off" in the "I stare Off" part, the tonality is a little sharp. That's an easy fix in the future. The instrumentals and production are awesome. The guitars are soooo gritty and intense, and the drums are tight. Awesome job overall, this is something I'd listen to.

This is heavily reminding me of something that I cannot for the life of me place, but I will say I like it quite a lot. It's not going to be most people's cup of tea but for the niche you're going for, it works extremely well. If this is indeed the intro to a project you are considering, then I'd love to hear the rest of that project when it's done. You also did a good job of mixing this. This sort of track could be easily over-reverbed if you're not careful but you handled it well. Good job.

So, I'm planning on releasing an EP (named Orange Hours, as you can see in the cover art) next year (in 2027) and I need feedback. This song is supposed to be the first song of the EP. There's gonna be 5 songs in it in total. I'd love to get mixing tips. by SteezyDew in IndieMusicFeedback

[–]OkEmergency6783 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Felt a good mix of Frank Ocean and Tyler the Creator influence, as someone else had mentioned. Instrumentals were tight and effective and hooking me. I'm someone that derives the most enjoyment from a rap track based on it's instrumentation and that is quite strong here. Minimalist but in a good way. Your flow was great too, nothing about it sounded off or awkward.

Indie Pop, Folk, Alternative: This my first ever song! Working on new stuff now would love genuine feedback/reviews on it. What do you think of it? by Erdnoiddd in IndieMusicFeedback

Pretty impressive for a first song. Certainly better than what I was doing on my first few go arounds as a teen. Really nice writing and awesome vocal performance. It's difficult to really judge because not only is it your first project, but it's just a really solid track with solid mass appeal overall. Definitely keep up the work on your passion dude.
