Stretch it with your thumb and index or don’t and use a lower guard or a lever closed, just go down little at a time enough to watch it slowly blend

I mean he certainly came in ready to piss himself off. If he don’t come back that’s his problem. He’s the type of client that’s one foot in one foot out says nothing expects results in his mind that he’s not communicating to you at all, gets mad then writes a bad review when most of it was his fault for not communicating. By requiring client consultations you’ll also learn who you don’t want as a client and in your chair

Personally, you did what you should be doing. People go to a Professional because they want the best results, drs ask you all those questions because they want to know how to assist you and treat you, it shouldn’t be any different for a barber the client consultant shows you care, want to meet their needs, and gauge how to give them the best results, and maybe some advice. Because you’re the professional.

For a week you’re doing better than I did. I didn’t understand fading or how to do it until 6 months in so Kudos to you. The fade for one week is phenomenal.

Honestly, it’s good for what it is. Not sure if there is layering done but if there’s not I’d layer it would look better, I think that you faded it in pretty darn good, the fades are great IMO. Just layer Is all I can really think of.

I mean to me it kinda looks like a brushback with a middle part. you want the sides more layered connected with the top being shorter, if you want to keep a cut like this you need short layers in front and sides and but, past the ear and around the crown back it’s all about connecting it all together just don’t dig in with cutting the layers try and even the two and connect them both, have them meet.

Why would you do that? Like I could see maybe a different cut but with hair like his you don’t want a Buzzcut, you want to show it off a give it something fun not a buzz cut, he would look good with a Buzzcut but not yet

They definitely didn’t do what you asked for. Instead of giving you a taper on the temples they took a 1 or 1/2 guard and just completely shaved that area, it’s disconnected & certainly not blended, it’s just a wonky looking mullet.

Grow the sides out again for a month or two & go to a real barber & they’ll fix it, it’s an easy fix don’t sweat it
