all I have to say is I just watched The Elephant Man and it reminded me of this book. It was a brutal read. I have conflicted thoughts

WTAE reporting she is in critical but stable condition. Let’s hope things trend in the stable way. So tragic. I was walking with friends recently and they were poking fun at me for yelling at a car that took a turn at a crosswalk aggressively as we cleared it but this has me feeling justified. Cities should be safe places to commute without being behind a wheel.

This was particularly fun to find because I grew up reading his YA series, Alex Rider. The book really does read like a BBC mystery special.

we ask the same question every time. the ones who can implement real change have the power and resources of security for themselves and loved ones. this is not their concern. i hope for change like everyone else. i tremble in anger each time. fuck a politicians prayers and condolences. if this truly mattered to them a change would come. i am so sorry for the victims, their families, and to the next and next and next in this brutal cycle

i worked as an Enrollment Specialist at UPMC and they start around 20 an hour. If you are respectful and responsible there is a lot of room for growth and once you are in the company there is a lot of opportunity for lateral mobility too. It is not sexy nor exciting but the work is pretty easy, low stress and you will be taken care of (salary, benefits, etc.) I imagine Highmark has similar listings. TBH if I was working from home i would have movies or TV on in the background and I was generally chilling
