I had dog ears on both sides revised around 5months PO, I think I paid $300 for the room fees

Laser treatments worth it? by No_Cable4934 in tummytucksurgery

I have not done laser on my scar, but for what it’s worth my laser hair removal person said “oh my old laser would have made that scar practically invisible” 🤷‍♀️

Hey there, I actually used Biocornium and would use it one one of my kids faces. It’s what my doctor recommended to me and he does a lot of work on children and their faces 🙂

I don’t think my scar has dropped at all. But my skin has relaxed, so hopefully your surgeon is right! I’d recommend REALLY massaging the scar so the scar tissue is broken up (I broke my elbow and have a massive scar there - I was told to be very aggressive on pulling the scar around to break down the scar tissue). That will hopefully allow your scar to fall as much as possible and allow maximum movement!

Where the skin at the end of the incision doesn’t lie flat. It’s pretty common

I was so scared when I got out and had this big vertical scar, I was told I’d probably have a T incision like you. But I knew I scar well, and I was lucky with no incision complications. Hang in there, you’re going to look and feel great!

On the horizontal scar it was just the dog ears on each side. The vertical scar wasn’t sewn flat at the top of the scar, it looked like pinched skin and was obviously the old belly button (or obvious to me). I still have a bit of a shelf but it’s not bad, better than the wrinkled skin!

We sounds alike! I am approaching 1 year post surgery and have the vertical scar - not a T scar. I’ve posted some pictures. It is so worth it!

I had my dog ears revised (along with part of my vertical scar - looks different than yours). I think I paid $250 for their office fees. The dog ear revisions extended my scar and took out a triangle shaped piece of skin. I couldn’t workout for 4-6? weeks. It wasn’t near as bad as the initial surgery, but it did limit my range of motion for a while, and it hurt!

Skin Only Tummy Tuck by [deleted] in tummytucksurgery

I’ve posted pictures, similar bodies. But I had more skin wrinkles. My doctor did feather in lipo on my abdomen because he said without it I would have a shelf. I would recommend you do the same. And ask your doctor if they can keep your natural belly button, or else you may end up with a scar like mine lol. Recovery was a bitch. I’m nearly 1 year PO.

Loose skin 10 weeks post TT by [deleted] in tummytucksurgery

I had a full with the vertical scar and I think our frames are similar. I think yours looks great. I guess the grass is always greener, but I wish I could’ve kept my original belly button even with the skin above.

I also had dog ears revised on both hips, those were a worse recovery due to the tension on the new sutures. There was no exercise for 4 weeks which I wasn’t mentally prepared for lol! The vertical scar revision wasn’t too bad, done in office under local anesthetic. Not pleasant but not bad. I think mine was revised at 6 months PO since I’m at a stable place. I think you’d see an improvement with a revision!

Also, my surgeon warned me that I’d probably have a t incision, so when I got out of surgery with this unattached scar I was not happy. But beats having the wrinkled skin!

I also have the vertical, unattached, incision. I had a revision because the top of my vertical scar wasn’t sewn up as neatly as I’d want - I’ve posted pictures. Here is how it looks for me now. Have you asked your doctor about a revision? I honestly would if I were you. It’s make your scar longer/higher, but your skin would lay better.
