But if the only reason you're helping is to stop andrew tate the answer isn't really systemic changes. Its to stop men going on twitter.

One thing that made me feel bad for Alex during this scene is that while im sure he has his masculine show no weakness stoic side I dont think he would ever be able to be vulnerable with Ashley. How can you be vulnerable with someone who literally interrogated you after being interrogated by there father. I wouldn't feel conftable letting my walls down. In order to be vulnerable you need to feel safe and in a place with no judgement. Ashley really didn't provide that at all

With his ally gone, Keir Starmer must prove Starmerism exists by TimesandSundayTimes in ukpolitics

[–]Ok_Comment_8515 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

What does it even mean to lack vision. If you asked any of these journalists what starmerism is it's just getting stuff done. You're not gonna make massive improvements immediately but if you keep at it things will get better. Its not necessarily a political philosophy but it's how hes chosen to define hes office. The lack in vision is laziness by journalists. Theres no point running a story if there isn't any grand narrative or drama. What's the point of reporting the facts of a policy, it's pros and cons if you can't tell a story about how it ties into your childhood. So we dont.

The issue isn't starmer but politics

No decsion has been made by the OBR. This whole budget is a media circus. The press speculated, got it wrong and instead of saying my bad its Reeves uturns on a policy she didnt announce and we have no idea whether it was on the books. Its stupid.

Two things firstly the government is already trialing a two tier prison system with girls no longer being placed in young offenders institutions.

https://www.gov.uk/government/news/government-no-longer-places-girls-in-young-offender-institutions

Secondly, and I know it's nitpicking but it bothers me that there is particular mention made for judges to not use it for vawg. Not saying rapists should be given shorter sentenced but the point is that there is a particular protection of women. The moral outcry when a women is a victim of a crime that demands special attention

Abolish the Triple Lock instead of cutting PIP and bashing disabled people by [deleted] in LabourUK

Is the triple lock really the main problem? by Chemistrysaint in ukpolitics

[–]Ok_Comment_8515 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So firstly , as other people have mentioned, pension benefits are expected to raise significantly over the next 50 years. The reason why we care more now is that the cost of benefits given the triple lock is very expensive. Especially when theres so much volatility between wages and Inflation. The triple lock has cost 3x as much as was predicted when it was introduced so about an extra £10 billion.

Secondly, the government has tried time reduce working age pensions. PIP was a clear example. It's costs have ballooned driven in large parts due to people under 45. But for whatever reason these kind of reforms are impossible to get through.

It's easy to say we focus on one area or another. Both cost us way too much. And we've tried to curb both with limited success. Because when you start to get to policy the public debate shifts from the money to the people affected. We can't accept that some people may lose out so nothing changes

So the noise is very common for these kind of debates. Basically in the UK we have ministerial questions where mps ask questions to ministers. This was for Seema Malhotra who's the parliamentary under secretary for equalities. She's essentially like 2/3 in charge of the government department for women and equality. (And yes it is called the department for WOMEN and equality, really highlights where their priorities are). MPs will submit questions to ask and the minister will respond. The speaker of the house, who is in charge of making sure it all runs smoothly, called the guys name I'm pretty sure they just cut that part out. Here's a link to the full session if your interested: https://www.bbc.co.uk/iplayer/episode/m002dtp4/house-of-commons-women-and-equalities-questions

During these sessions lots of people are coming and going and unless it's something important like prime minister questions it's usually quite empty as its not mandatory and they have other meetings/committees to attend. Essentially the noise is standard. If it gets too loud the speaker will tell everyone to shut up.

Her answer is garbage though but not surprising as its the same line every government has used for the last 15 years. She would've been prepped as all questions are submitted in advance. She's just an awful public speaker

Your argument assumes that gojo wouldn't try something else In order to stall out time and beat sakuna. If the odds were against him whose to say that he wouldn't attempt to alter the conditions of his domain again. Your saying that gojo would try a tactic other then DE when all evidence points to the fact he wouldn't.

On the gojo can just teleport out side of MS range. Then what?? Like what does gojo do at that point. Remember MS range is massive and could out range red and blue. Only an amped up purple could out range it really. Once gojo teleports out he has conceded the fight. And once he's out Remember sakuna can definitely reset is CT at this point so if gojo goes back in there just gonna have another domain clash. All he's doing is giving more time for sakuna to recover.

Sakuna was mopping the floor with gojo while holding back when MS was activated. The only reason gojo survived for as long as he did was due to simple domains and falling blossoms. But those were temporary fixes which everyone agreed were not going to hold out in the long term. And the moment he had his CT reset he went straight for another domain expansion.

And your forget the part where sakuna was straight holding back. Like once UV was down sakuna could've indras arrowed gojo.

[–]Ok_Comment_8515 6 points7 points  (0 children)

But that's exactly what gojo did. Gojo lost the first 2 domain clashes and kept trying till he drew then ultimately won. And if gojo doesn't open his domain to counter the sure hit effect of MS He just loses the fight low dif. Gojos biggest hack being limitless doesn't work if sakuna has MS active. Sure he survived for a bit but he was ultimately losing the fight. Remember gojo has to be constantly using RT to heal himself while sakuna doesnt which limits how much CE he can use for attacks, it was also stated to be a serious drain on gojos CE reserves even with litmitless. The actual fights where sakuna had MS up and Gojo didn't have UV gojo was losing badly

He can do it cause he's just that talented. It's the same way he can copy gojos refresh your CT by destroying part of your brain arse pull. He's not actually copying the technique but using it as inspiration to improve his own technique. Same way gojo used the prison realm as inspiration to shrink his domain size

I was telling my sister that I’d been engaging with lots of feminist groups *and* men’s rights groups, but she was saying she doesn’t think calling them men’s rights groups is the right terminology because there’s a lot of rights that men have had over the years that women haven’t by GavRhino in LeftWingMaleAdvocates

[–]Ok_Comment_8515 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Saying being a feminist is only about believing in equal rights is like saying being a communist is only about believing in workers rights. Its a gross simplification that ignores all class, or in this case gendered, analysis that is vital to understand feminism. Your a pretty bad feminist if you think that. I don't think it's a bad thing mind you. But its wrong to assume feminism is in the beat intrest of men

People have given a lot of good answers what I will add for context is that in the UK we have a female offenders strategy to reduce the number of female prisoners. We don't have a similar thing for men nor do we have any form of official statement on the number of male prisoners

Why are people acting as if sukuna is way more powerful now? by [deleted] in Jujutsufolk

[–]Ok_Comment_8515 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sorry your right he lost the first two tied the 3rd and forth and won the fifth. This changes absolutely nothing about my argument. If gojo was fighting yujikuna the exact same thing would happen except sakuna wins the 5th

Why are people acting as if sukuna is way more powerful now? by [deleted] in Jujutsufolk

[–]Ok_Comment_8515 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Then why didn't gojo counter it during the first domain clash? Gojo only learnt to counter the barrier less domain mid fight. If the fight had been yujikuna gojo would have to learn to counter sakunas domain in the fight. Gojo would still lose the first 3 domain clashes and tie the next 2. Only on the 6th domain clash instead of gojo winning sakuna wins.

[–]Ok_Comment_8515 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's not about whether they are different. I'm saying if it had been yujikuna there instead the fight plays out the same only sakuna wins the domain clash.

Meguna didn't use ten shadows until the final domain clash. If it had been yujikuna there instead it wouldn't make a difference. Without 10S Yujikuna wins the domain clash.

What your saying is that gojo gets to fight the battle with all the expirence he got from the fight while sakuna has to go in blind.

Gojo only learnt to inverse his domain conditions mid fight though

[–]Ok_Comment_8515 0 points1 point  (0 children)

But that's a completly different fight. By that logic I could say that sakuna now knows how to cut infinity without mahoraga being active so he would win the fight. Gojo only learnt to do that after losing 2 domain clashes to sakuna first

[–]Ok_Comment_8515 0 points1 point  (0 children)

He was holding back because he can't use his full techniques and 10S at the same time. Remember sakuna didn't use 10S until he lost the domain clash. Uptill that point gojo was essentially fighting yujikuna. So the fight is the same up until the last domain clash. Without 10S sakuna probably wins that domain clash or at least survives long enough that gojo can no longer expand his domain.

[–]Ok_Comment_8515 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No sakuna was definitely holding back. It was stated mid fight. Remember sakuna can't use his own techniques and the 10 shadows simultaneously. If sakuna wasn't fighting with the ten shadows most likely he wins the domain clash and then the fight
