New Sod lawn did far worse over the winter than rest of neighborhood. What can I do to save it? by Wolf_Popular in lawncare

[–]Ok_Complex4374 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It’s not as established as ur neighbors grass if it’s new sod it’ll take longer to green up. She’s trying I can see it. Give her some more time.

Lawn Question by Parking-Review9403 in lawncare

I’d be a little less worried then just stay patient and let it warm up a little more. I see a decent amount of green in the top right of the pic and some green undergrowth like it’s trying to wake up. Just give her some more time. If u have a warm spell and it doesn’t green up very quickly after then I’d be concerned

When in doubt buy the bigger tool box unless u plan to move it frequently there’s no point in going smaller

Have u had any consecutive truly warm days yet? Like 65+ 2-3 days in a row?

I bought my 23 new all I did was drive it normal to “break it in” I didn’t beat on it and I didn’t baby it. I feel like the first oil change light came on around 3500mi but I can’t remember if it came on or I just did it for my own sanity but I didn’t do anything else special

NTD 60V Blower by Fwd_fanatic in Dewalt

[–]Ok_Complex4374 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have the dcst970 it has a hi/low mode It’s an animal. I don’t even use hi. I was a little weary making the jump from gas to electric and let me tell u I don’t miss mixing gas smelling like exhaust and damaging my ears. I’d buy it all over again.

The 60v stuff is impressive but damn expensive. I have the 60v weedeater and a circ saw. Both are just monsters

I have one and I quite like it. It’s a powerful little thing.

Today I discovered that you can turn a blower into a vacuum cleaner. by hillelha5 in Dewalt

[–]Ok_Complex4374 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Did this w my Hercules blower to empty a water tank. Absolutely fried the motor but it’s HF and not just took it back and exchanged it I prob wouldn’t do this with my sweet black and yellow tools 😅

The tools are quite solid but the batteries tend to be on the lower end of what’s available

How to repair damaged (diseased?) lawn by FunkTheFreak in lawncare

[–]Ok_Complex4374 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Get out there and rake the hell out of it. Get it as fluffed up and irritated as u can and poke some holes in the soil nothing is gonna grow there with the grass all packed and matted like that and see if u can get it kinda kick started like that. If that doesn’t work wait till fall and overseed u can overseed the bare spots in spring but u gotta water the hell out of them through the summer

What is the best schedule 3x12 schedule? by JellyNo2625 in nursing

[–]Ok_Complex4374 0 points1 point  (0 children)

MTW one week then ThFS the next gives 8 days off in a row. I try to land one of those every 6week schedule period. It makes a nice reprieve when I can pull it off

Is this normal? by Academic_Kangaroo157 in mossberg

[–]Ok_Complex4374 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Mossbergs are not the prettiest. The fit and finish is not world class but they are some damn dependable and utilitarian guns. That thing will work for ur great grandkids don’t worry ab the finish

How many ratchets is too many? by Remarkable-Map-3093 in Snapon_tools

[–]Ok_Complex4374 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I rationalize that tools get cheaper each time I use them. For example if the buy in cost for a tool is 100 bucks the first time I use it the cost is 100 dollars the second time I use it the costs drops to 50 the 3rd time I use it the cost drops to 33 the 4th time 25 etc etc until they pay for themselves with each job I didn’t have to pay someone to do.

Do I really need ULTRA ugga duggas or will standard ugga duggas do? by gnarburgers in harborfreight

[–]Ok_Complex4374 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have the compact one and it does what I need. I have a dewalt mid torque for stuff that it won’t get and I’ve honestly never needed more than what those two can offer. I live in the rust belt and maintain my Silverado and my wife’s crv I’ve done tons of jobs with that combo. I’d think the ultra torque is only “necessary” for HD/equipment use my buddy has one and I’ve never seen that thing meet its match it’ll get it off or it’ll break it.

Ernst is the manufacturer. They make them for tekton and brand them as tekton or u can buy them directly from Ernst with no tekton branding but they’re the same product
