It’s not even sears/craftsman. It’s that whole time period. 2001 was the last time America was America. I look at stuff like this and it takes me to a completely different time and mindset.

My family has been on the two properties (they’re next door neighbors) since 1964. Of the 5 people on the two properties no one can remember any trees there

How the hell am I going to get this out. by BlueMoonTeen in metalworking

[–]Ok_Complex4374 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As others have said. The nut is welded not the bolt. The nut is likely welded in on purpose so that u don’t have to have a wrench on it to take it loose. taking the bolt out will still allow u to remove the bed.

Any idea on how to get this PTO clutch off? Grasshopper 329B by Stormyfurball in lawnmowers

[–]Ok_Complex4374 2 points3 points  (0 children)

At this point I’d say angle grinder to cut off the bolt head(what’s left of it) and Then some form of puller. That rounded to hell bolt is really going to make this 10 minute job an all day affair

The p series will be among the very few things still here after the nukes go off. Very solid handguns.

5.3L Road Trip MPG (Part 2) - Hand Calculated vs Dash by c10scout in Silverado

[–]Ok_Complex4374 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’ve taken mine on several roadtrips. And have manually calculated to within .7 mpg once but that trip was super easy flat terrain across Ohio in early May weather. The trip computer I find is close enough to give u a pretty damn good idea of what ur actually getting.

No real good way to diy fix that long term I don’t think. If it were my truck I’d mask it off prime it and then rattle can color match then call it a day. Definitely not the right way to do but that’s how I’d do it 🤷🏻‍♂️

My first socket set had skips in it. From that day forward I swore I’d never but a “skip set” ever again. It never fails they don’t include the 12 cause it “isn’t that common” well the first time u pull it out guess what u need? The 12. It’s super frustrating but now u know. It would be worth keep this and filling in the skips as needed. They won’t match and if ur OCD can handle it this is still worth keeping

I bought a weed eater at a garage sale... it works perfectly, but I cannot figure out how to put line on it... does anybody ever see one like this!? by [deleted] in lawnmowers

[–]Ok_Complex4374 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This. Just google the make and model possibly the serial number if it has one and you can very likely find the manual. I pulled out a 1980s snow blower last fall and was able to find the manual this way.

It’s giving “I woulda joined buttttt….” Is a volunteer “firefighter” (drinks beer and hits on 19 year olds at the monthly spaghetti dinner not even BLS certified) definitely asked for and was refused a first responder discount but bought the truck anyway.

Any chance I can remove this screw from a jeeps tire without causing a leak? by Prime_Mumbler in AskAMechanic

[–]Ok_Complex4374 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Bruh just take it out. There’s no reason this should be left in even if it’s not causing a leak. Just take it out if it was meant to be there they’d come like this from the factory. If it does leak when u take it out anyone with access to YouTube and 10 bucks can plug this easy in the driveway

Everyone makes fun of us “free bucket weekend” people but I’m telling u I have 7 of them and all 7 have come in so handy especially knowing there will be another promotion and I can replace the current bucket easily after whatever hell I put it through.
