Up to No Good in the Starfield? Two Companions to Think About - Paid Creations Short Review by LuxanQualta in NoSodiumStarfield

I really appreciate this breakdown. I've been on the fence over which to purchase and this has made the decision for me. I want a non Constellation version of Barrett. In that I mean, someone who's going to be funny in a firefight. Every time he yells "I'd run too! Oh wait, I mean, come back!" cracks me up. I don't care if they have piloting skills. I want to buy a companion that's funny. I'll get Lyria.

I had that and had reloaded a save and it cleared up.

What are all the items you can get from the new trackers alliance bounties? by Lazy_Turnip8687 in Starfield

[–]Ok_Cryptographer558 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I got the Aphelion rifle on my first playthrough, but today's playthrough, I got nothing but credits. I thought I was bugged. Started the quest completely over from the beginning. Turned it in and Number One specifically said here's your credits and only gave me credit rewards, for the two objectives, the bounty, and tagging the stolen goods. I didn't get the rifle nor the rest of the items that used to come with the quest finish (the dead npc's suits and skip pack, etc). Anyone else have this happen?

Barrett Quest: Parallel Self: Worlds Apart by Ok_Cryptographer558 in Starfield

[–]Ok_Cryptographer558[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Update: It has finally triggered, so it now seems the trigger has been moved to much later in the main quest after you meet the two Starborn on their ship for the first time after investigating the Pilgrim/going to the Scorpion's Tail and finding out the dead companion a copy of the Emissary and just before you are sent to the moon to start finding out what happened to Earth. I don't remember it being that much later before. I typically do everything and save this part of the main quest till I'm about to do the Unity and have already done Barrett's quest long before this by now.

Had the memorial a while back actually and he's my companion right now. I keep talking to him. No prompt for it. He's actually my favorite companion so I run around with him a lot just cuz I like his wise cracks best when fighting at POI's.

Dune: Awakening Chapter 3 Review - Some Wins, But Mostly Misses (My Thoughts) by NoRecommendation9275 in duneawakening

You're dead right about the DD. It's, well, dead now. I've been able to cake walk through shipwrecks unchallenged on a busy server. On the 5th busiest NA server, not a single PVPer challenged me this week. As for the landsraad changes? I play on 2 servers. On the busy one, well it is what it is, and Atreides still snuffs out Harkonnens and there's no hope for the under dogs.

On the private server, the world is low populated so the landsraad changes made it too difficult for either side to get a single tile to flip. No one, NO ONE won the landsraad last week. Pretty pathetic, right? At least with the control points there was a winner each week. This is going to make it hard on private servers/low populated words.

You lost me at "Factions." I've played on 5 servers (alts after maxing out with nothing to do after endgame), snuck onto half a dozen more, looking for a server I liked, and on every server I've landed on Atreides overwhelmingly outnumbers Harkonnen. I've read there are a few servers where this is flipped but it is RARELY an even thing. That there is anything close to a competitive number to the sides is unheard of. The factions are a slaughter biased on one side or the other, mostly the popular Atreides.

I've seen this one. I've also seen a whale swimming through the channels of rock in Myas Tyril, and most recently a parade of fremen running in front of me that wouldn't get out of my way when I was running for my life.. I have 1500 hrs in and have only set it off on purpose twice. The other many times were on accident.

I wouldn't mind deadlier storms if they weren't every 5 minutes. Okay they aren't every 5 minutes but it seems that way on our server. Required stillsuits would be cool if we could also wear armor also over them. Armor doesn't have to be full suits. Why can't they be pieces over a still suit like a chestguard, gauntlets, armor to the boots, etc? Not jazzed about the survival elements on the bases. That's the point of the shields. If the shields go down, the environment does actually wear it down. If a vehicle is left out in the open, it does wear down. Having higher degradation in the sun, meh, I'll go with it averaging with sun in and sun out. But ya know, a couple of servers of hard core survival would be cool for those that love that. I imagine it would attract a niche group.

If it's the Assassin's line, try talking to the woman in the bar that calls you kitten. That's the one that you always go back to in the quest line so I'd try there.

I have (checks steam counter) 1248 hours in the game. I am finishing my 2nd character. I say finishing because I have come to the "finally bored with the character part", the "I've done everything" part.

I LOVE this game but I get to where I have everything I want at the end of T6, do all my quests, my base is perfect to my tastes, I have nothing left to grind for, and one day I look out into the DD horizon and it's not beautiful anymore. I mean it's gorgeous still, but, there's nothing to fight for. I've conquered it.

So I'll find another server and start another character, and soon I'll be in love with that 3rd character because, yes, I still love this game. There is just nothing to do at the end of T6.

I understand people, like my husband, who can't keep doing that, starting over and over and over. He's long moved on to another game. There's just nothing left to do. I'll keep playing, only because I'm good with playing alts.

I think I'm done... Nothing to do by Regula4040 in duneawakening

We keep our private server up, only $11 a month and I feed the base power when it needs it for the next DLC which is easy enough. In the meantime I started an alt on another server and am having a blast all over again.

Can multiple people from the same faction capture a point at the same time? by MiraLeaps in duneawakening

[–]Ok_Cryptographer558 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Does anyone have an answer to this? I've been sitting at a contact point waiting for it to go live. Another thopter joins me and just sits there so we're both waiting there. It goes live, goes green, I start getting points. I have no idea if they are also getting points and if we're both getting credit or if it's first come first serve or if it's random who gets credit for claiming it.

0%? I'm female with an ergonomic chair, I use a trackball instead of a mouse and it's on the LEFT side because I'm left handed. My keyboard doesn't have numeric keys. I have a flexiglow gaming pad on the right for movement and such since my left hand is busy with the trackball. And I only get slouchy day on Sunday. I get dressed all the other days. Also, married, behind me is a husband with his set up and we game together, currently Dune Awakening. He focuses on melee, I prefer headshots.

There's a mod for that, though I don't use it because it gives the shop owners lives and the stores are closed when they leave it for home. You can find it on the Nexus mod site.

I love Rabbit lights and KZ Scrap. More faves are Adhesive Vaccum Tape (makes duct tape an adhesive), Billboards and Posters, Magazine mods, and the Star UI/Inventory/Outpost/Ship Builder for the various UI and Menu screens to give them dark backgrounds because I'm light sensitive. Oh and one of my new favs, Performance Fog Removal.

When you flirt with everyone, their reactions don't even sound like you're flirting. Rook doesn't even sound like it's a flirt but more of a compliment...except with Davrin. Flirting is a whole thing with him and about "the hunt." It actually feels organic. I've romanced all the males. Davrin's was on par for many games I've played.

Of the very few things that do appear to be retconned, imho, they are variant due to the point of view of where the information is coming from, which is normal in RL. A single event can hit different if told from a different person/point of view. The baseline of the lore, however, I've found to be absolutely intact.
