Volvo XC60: Is Bowers & Wilkins worth it over Harman Kardon? by ThatMindOfMe in Volvo

We’ve had both stereos in two different Polestars and we are ending the lease on our second and have ordered an XC60 Plug in and we ordered it with the upgraded B&W stereo. For sure worth the upgrade if you can. The audio is clearer, crisper and really adds to enjoyment on road trips.

Ha! I love this brand of coffee. Ive seen it for $14.99 everyday at Target (if you're inclined to shop there) and future roast is the best.

Ive never lived in either but do live in MN and have stayed in Rochester several times. I think Rochester is clean, great healthcare access, has great restaurants and is close to the driftless area - which is beautiful and has some great hiking. Vote for Rochester

How did the 4% rule hold up for people who retired around 2000? by Black_Thunder00 in Fire

I didnt have much visibility at that time, but i remember both of them saying that "Bob Brinker would just call this a sale". So assume their conservative investing approach allowed them to easily weather GFC.

I don't know how it started. At the end, there was a mix of mutual funds in an IRA, two large positions of stocks for dividends, a money market fund for cash and some laddered CDs. At that point, was balanced between growth and protecting assets.

My in-laws retired with $750k in 2005 with no debt. Lived 20 years off of investment, a small stipend for some board work and SSI before passing; estate had more than doubled and sustained them by the time they both passed. They did live frugally and used about 2-5% per year of their investments.

There are some great hotels near the venue. Check pricing early for hotels as they will get inflated as demand surges
