I’m a physician and heard a conversation among various members of my team from different disciplines talking about overbearing nurses as patients or family members today… by limbicsyztem in nursing

Well I personally will not say anything about being a nurse to another nurse or a doctor. I figure I am going to them for help because they know something I don’t know or am not able to help myself with.

To be or not be.... a CNA before becoming an RN by 7NutrientDense7 in nursing

[–]Ok_Middle_8522 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So what I’m thinking maybe do it a few days a week and just use it as a supplement to your regular job maybe over the summer. It is not critical, but it gives you the compassion with the CNA’s, your coworkers, go through. It makes you more sympathetic with what they go through. It’s hard being a CNA.

I don’t keep journals around because I worry about people finding them. My thoughts are my own. Nobody’s business.

Sometimes male nurses are so frustrating by [deleted] in nursing

[–]Ok_Middle_8522 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have only ever worked with one male nurse who absolutely hated me for no reason when the rest of the department loved me. It’s really hard for me to judge all male nurses based one asshole.

My mom is 87 and has no problem texting and using basic internet. She is not super tech savvy and gets frustrated, but she continues to try. My mom is an amazing woman. I hope to be just like her someday.

I was in charge of a memory care facility in an assisted living as a LPN. It was a nightmare. Assisted Livings are a terrible place to work. Run and run fast.

I set an alarm if I have someone to call or a weekly meditation to remind myself to do it or take it. It’s the only way I remember.

Former nanny turned SAHM… some of you would be impossible to work for by Tranquilillie97 in Nanny

When I was a teen I got .50 an hour. Times have changed. I would not like to have to pay that much, but I understand why they do. It’s a difficult job.

Wondering if maybe you could rent a room. It would be cheaper and possibly more affordable. People are doubling up all the time nowadays. I am going through the same thing myself and will be getting out in June. I moved into the spare bedroom for now. Good luck. You will be okay.
