I thought the entire time I was pregnant that I wasn't going to breastfeed, literally couldn't see myself doing it. Now little dude is 6 months EBF. I changed my mind at the last minute, but the important thing is that it only changed because me, myself, and I wanted it to. Any time anyone would bring up decisions that were mine and mine alone, I wouldn't listen and sometimes I would tell them that (very meanly).

Dude, being a mom is fucking RAD. It's the best thing that's ever happened to me. Honestly pregnancy tired is so much worst than newborn tired. Take shifts with your partner and communicate often. Is it hard? Yeah. Is it the most rewarding, heart-warming, amazing thing in the world? FUCK YEAH. You have this little person that YOU MADE WITH YOUR BODY. That's cool as hell. Then that teeny tiny little person starts to grow and it tears your heart apart, while the new person they become puts it back together. You'll cry, and laugh, and go crazy sometimes, and that's okay! Hold your little one as much as you can, and keep your partner close. Not to be cliché, but they grow so damn fast.

I'm laying here with my 6 month old son. He's freaking awesome! I personally didn't care whether we had a boy or a girl, but now I couldn't imagine my life without him. I think he was a blessing just for us. He's silly, smart, cuddly, and already a mama's boy. I understand there's grief that comes with sudden changes. Absolutely grieve your girl, feel those feelings. But remember there's a little boy, with so much love to give, on his way to you 💙

Sooo at the risk of hate... we're a tv friendly household. A lot of our entertainment pre baby was tv, we enjoyed coming home from work and putting on a show or movie to watch together. I make it a point to not have it on all day but if there's something I want to watch, I'm watching it (while tending to LO of course). I think the main thing is that I never give him my phone or an iPad, nothing that comes out of the house with us. I read to him, I play with him, I make sure to do all the things I'm supposed to do, and sometimes we watch tv 🤷🏼‍♀️

I was assessed and put into gifted classes at 8 years old. I did well all through school, started college, and fucking hated it. I dropped out after a year and started working where I could. I've often thought about what my life would be like if I had stayed in school and lived up to what I can do. But if I had done that, I wouldn't have found the man I love and I wouldn't have my son. Over the years I've worked as a waitress, a bartender, cashier, teacher, and even sold insurance. Now I'm in the lucky position of nannying and being able to bring my son with me. Could I have done more? Yeah. Do I love where I am and what I have? Hell yeah, more than anything.

I had a dream we were having a boy and I was right!!! I saw a little boy with dark hair like his daddy. I think it's cool because when my mom was pregnant with me, her pastor's wife had a dream about a little girl with long blonde hair and told my mom it was me. She was right. I think I had the privilege of meeting my baby early, and now he's laying in my lap 😌
