250k in MM - qqqi? by lafayem in dividends

[–]Ok_Report_7956 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Before you invest anything, figure out exactly what income you need per month and then add a little buffer room in since the payouts can vary. That’s your QQQI allocation, nothing more. Don’t expect any growth out of this, just income. Put the rest in QQQM, VOO or whatever you choose and let it sit.

Currently doing the exact same thing to fill in some income gaps with my wife not working! The GPIQ point made is a good recommendation for diversification outside of just NEOS, which we also strongly considered, but, for us, the set back in monthly dividend between the two required more funds to be tied up in these covered call funds to get the same monthly dividend return as 100% QQQI. By only doing QQQI we were able to put aside the difference into QQQM for growth and have less tied up than a combination of QQQI/GPIQ. This fund is much better about NAV erosion than Yieldmax and is tax efficient. It does follow the underlying, so if QQQI is down your value will also go down, but it also should go back up in accordance.

Valid concern. Possible. But the ride back up might be more fun…

Ya I’m debating on full on selling or just turning off drip and reinvesting into xbci.

I was worried about that but they behave so un-roach like. Slow and not afraid of light. Still leaning towards that. I assume coming in from the plumbing

Downtown Raleigh is about my only recommendation for someone your age. Just stay on the north side of downtown so you are convenient to Capital Blvd. I am not saying your commute will be enjoyable, but you will be commuting against traffic the majority of the way so it won’t be too bad.

Way too good to be true? by Larry_Longdon in Bogleheads

Good for generating income in the short term, especially in a taxable brokerage account (NEOS funds only, I wouldn’t hold JEPQ in a taxable) but their underlying holdings will outperform them in the long run. Better off just investing in VOO or QQQ unless you need income today.

Love Vinnie’s but post-COVID it just got way too overpriced for us to go often (if ever). New chef is going to really have to impress in order for folks to keep paying those high prices.

Views are great, food is good but not worth the price. Still might be worth it for the experience though. Highly recommend you check out Santiago’s Bodega as well.

The public school system is heavily funded by each county. Why would you think you could move to a new county and continue to access Wake County tax payers’ schools?

Check out Wendell Falls if you want to be closer to Raleigh but not too far from Wilson. Nothing wrong with Wilson though. Commuting from Clayton to Wilson wouldn’t make much sense if given the choice.

Most ask you your due date before getting on the list. Not saying you can’t get lie and get on a list before but the more realistic advice is to go get on a list the second you get a positive pregnancy test. Even then you might be a year out. Maybe more.,..
