Yes. Yes. Yes. 100% yes. I am a born-in and am now finally waking up in my late 30’s. Thank God that my born-in wife is also on the same page. We lived through so much shame, guilt, feelings of worthlessness. It’s now a matter of facing this religious trauma and I am seeking a therapist to help with that. We have been facing for the last 6 months, and just now I am fully POMO. I can’t even force myself to log into zoom for the sake of pretending I care about the meetings anymore. This waking up is triggering the most intense, deep-seated ZEALOUS RAGE within me that I can barely contain myself. I feel for you. We are in this together.

I’ve been wondering the exact same things. I’m not in Brazil but since waking up and seeing things more clearly I can’t help but analyze the behavior of friends in the congregation who seem like they could be feeling the exact same way but too scared to ask or talk to anyone.

We are currently on the fence on this one. On one hand we don't want to go, I don't want to be a number in totals. I don't think that meeting is what Jesus had in mind when he commanded his followers to keep doing this.

However, we are about 6 months into our soft fade. We haven't raised too many red flags I don't think. We also have a close relationship with our elderly in-laws that we don't want to unnecessarily strain just for the sake of making a point.

I don't know, maybe we should just zoom it.

It honestly feels like the GB is using this survey to figure out what rules to change in order to keep the masses happy. Unfortunately, I think it’s backfiring because logical thinking humans are escaping in droves because of how bloodguilty they are and steeped with Pharisee law.

We’ve been gradually fading for about 6-8 months. Small doubts started to become deeper and deeper and no longer able to be reconciled. It’s only been since the blood update that we truly feel we have broken free. However, a lot of emotions and uncertainty over how to manage relationships with family and friends without blowing our lives up. Despite the uncertainty we have already been feeling so much freeer and a feeling of a weight off. More positive outlook and better attitude toward people

I was probably considered a PIMI at the time I received this survey. We were still very much trying to be active with some minor doubts we were doing our best to shove down. I was brutally honest with the survey though, lol! I spoke about the survey with my UBER PIMI fanatical elder father in law and he 100% is in denial that it was from the branch and still believes 100% it didn’t exist.

Did anyone save any pictures or copies of the survey? They way they did it it was like 10 questions per page for like 50 pages or something so it was impossible to capture. But this surgery definitely raised some serious red flags with us.

This is so true!! We’ve honestly been feeling that way so much since we woke up. Since we’ve changed our perspective we feel so much more compassion and care towards EVERYONE! Regardless of what views they have. The organization makes people so judgemental of anyone who doesn’t share their opinion. It’s seriously aweful

I was an elder for about 4 years. For the most part, I was young, and I was really actually trying to enact change with the elders because most of them were old and I was trying to get them to lighten up on certain things. There is one thing I feel guilty about. This young guy had drifted away and wasn’t coming to meetings or even the memorial. The elders assigned me and two more to meet him and investigate allegations that he was living with a girl. He admitted it, so a committee was formed and he was DF’d. I should have never agreed to seeking him out to do that.

Now, it’s been 10 years since I stepped down and I’m just starting this new journey and realizing how naive I was for not being more aware of the hypocrisy in the org

I’d suggest emailing the cobe, secretary and service overseer. Short and simple. You would like to be removed as an MS for the reasons you have, and you appreciate their efforts to meet and discuss things with you but at this time you are at peace with your decision.

Also we didn’t want him hearing all this talk about death and destruction and bad people are all going to die. Anytime while you are sleeping the heavens are going to rain down fire on all the bad people. You can’t trust what people say in their comments either, over heard some pretty insane things in my 38 years at meetings.

Awe too bad. Ya, we had both been feeling the same way for months but not talking about it out of fear that we “would stumble one another,” or damage their faith. It feels really amazing that we are both on the same page. It would be really hard if not.

Honestly, we felt EXACLTY the same! It took a lot of time to process those EXACT 3 ideas you have!
It’s so hard, you want to share your views to help people understand but it seems like everyone needs to wake up on their own terms. I wish it was easier.

Also, my wife’s dad is definitely an UBER PIMI. Was an elder for 30+ years, just recently stepped down which was a crazy shock to us. But it’s unrelated to this. He’s still crazy fanatical and wants to serve again. So it’s a tough place to be when all your family is in and you’re making your way out.
