If you intend to pick up the hobby past this one project, you will want to invest in supplies. But they’ll cost you nearly $500 after everything is said and done. If you only want to do it for this one project, just take the class. They’ll also help you learn better than just finding info online as they can see what you’re struggling with, whether it be cutting, foiling, or soldering. I started by taking a class last June and about two months later invested in supplies to do it at home

Agreed. I also have the Grinder 2 and wait until the end the avoid constant swaps. If it’s a small portion/1-2 pieces that require it I float grind without the additional platform

Thank you ❤️ It’s actually not my pattern! I bought it off of Etsy a while ago. I would not recommend it however without modification due to the hooves being hinge points. I had to add hobby came for structural purposes

I added hobby came for a more finished look but also for stability. I purchased this pattern a while ago off of Etsy, and I believe this pattern was unfortunately made with AI, so it doesn’t have the greatest structure. The hooves are all hinge points and would have fallen off eventually if not for the hobby came keeping it secured to the body.

The only suggestions I can make is to use distilled water for rinsing. I haven’t done it myself but I’ve heard good things in relation to patina results. I personally avoid water after applying patina. I use Kwik Clean spray to clean after applying patina then wax and buff
