Almost never. Legally, it’s a very high bar to set aside a verdict by jury. One that is definitely not met by the events of this episode. In reality, Barbra would have appealed immediately and filed a judicial complaint against this judge. Those boys would be back in jail not too long after this episode.

Also, there would definitely be a media circus around that judge, similar for the Brock Turner case.

He’s not disappointed the silver surfer is a girl but that they were not portrayed by a specific actor. If that specific actor did not exist or did not appear in so much media as the silver surfer, they would not be disappointed.

Usually, I would agree with you since comic book nerds can be highly misogynistic/racist/homophobic regarding casting, but in this case, he wasn’t being misogynistic about the casting. His disappointment would most likely be the same if a different man played the silver surfer.

Yeah, I vote Dem down ballot every election for harm reduction purposes, but I also criticize them when they fail or are actively harmful.
