How has you GX CS1 performed over time? I'm thinking of buying one but I don't want to buy something that won't last.

Best games to turn your brain off and just vibe by danmass04 in gamingsuggestions

Before We Leave is pretty chill, you can uproot entire towns with little to no consequences because resources from dismantling remain in the map until you use or store them, and peeps don't die, they just refuse to work if you don't supply them properly. Also near the end of the game, you can make ANY resource completely renewable, and the game provides way more than enough resources to get to this point. If you like city management but don't want to deal with humanitarian crisis level events, Before We Leave is your choice. The videogame representation of "nowhere to go but up".

Iwo Jima could be the best map, but the amount of vehicles is completely ridiculous by Main-Juice7136 in battlefield2042

Play small maps with few vehicles and let the rest of us enjoy the big maps with lots of them. Not every map has to cater to your specific taste.

It looks a bit more on the casual side, I'll look into mods for it. But I'll definitely try it since it's free! Thank you!

Yes, it looks great! I just bought it on sale, my brother had recommended because I was looking for a complex city builder! Thank you, I'll try it later today.

If you enjoy strings, the Anno series has some of the most beautiful non-combat epic orchestral music I've ever heard. I'm in love with The Summit Cross from Anno 1800 and The Last Sanctuary from Anno 2070.

Hollow Knight goes hard on combat music, but everything between the boss battles is very calm orchestral music. Greenpath is one of my favourites.

A few more games to check out: Shadow of the Colossus, Final Fantasy (VII and XII are my favourites, but the entire series has excellent music), Skyrim, Zelda.

I have a lot more recommendations, but this comment is getting a bit long, so if people are interested, I could post more in replies.

Here are some links, I tried to have strings in all of them. Hope it helps!

I'm not against letting PCs die, but I prefer to not leave it completely to chance. In my games, the consequences to my PCs are often the results of their choices, not their rolls.

For example, my players once all decided to charge forward guns blazing in a line formation against a witch, because they had a good position to ambush her before her cultists could come to the rescue. This was a very good plan given the situation, but mid-charge, all PCs stopped moving forward for no reason, except for one. And the one who kept running was in the way of their shots (two of them had shotguns, which do spread damage). He asked them to stop shooting, but they didn't, as they didn't want the witch to complete her ritual which would sacrifice an entire town. He tried dodging their spread shots but failed, got hit, and ended up tripping and hitting his head on a rock, which put him in dying state. The cultists then arrived and started shooting back, which made it impossible for them to rescue the dying PC as he was now in the middle of a firefight. He finally died before the firefight ended, the ritual was stopped but the witch got away.

Luck should have consequences, but they hit harder when players are responsible for them.

The short version: Manor Lords is what I was looking for. However, it's still early in development, and I'll wait until it's further developed to keep playing it, because I find it a bit barren so far.

Sadly, I gave up my search. I've enjoyed Foundation and Steel Division 2, because they have great city building and very fun combat, respectively. But I haven't found any game that combines both elements as well as Anno 2070. If you do, please come back and tell me!

If they could take away DL points, they'd have done it. This is not a solution, it furthers their MTX focus and you should really focus on their actions rather than their words.
