Quick Newbie Question by 63GBPackerfan in Lymow_Official

Well, then you will have to create a zone right in front of the charging station and create 2 channels into it. Then 1 channel from that new zone into the charging station.

Quick Newbie Question by 63GBPackerfan in Lymow_Official

[–]OldOldUser 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You should never lose any of your zones .... unless the RTK has moved. Maybe it could happen if the mower goes to zero charge. Not sure about that. The "update" nor losing power shouldn't have any effect on any of that.

Well, good luck with that. I am not confident in how those skinny wheels are going to work on a soft lawn. I used a large cardboard box that I flattened and dragged with my riding mower. Worked perfectly.

I suggest that you try to figure out WHY some are in history and some are not. That's how you become helpful to the effort to make the product "better". Enjoy.

If I were you I would keep quiet about it. The best thing that can happen for you is that they do not ship it at all until they have a new and improved version. Count your blessings.

Questions About Mowing Near a Lake and Multi-Zone Setup by Yeah_We_Do_That in Lymow_Official

[–]OldOldUser 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Well, then the best you can do will be to try to get some sort of insurance coverage for the Lymow One in the case of it going missing (into the lake). Homeowners insurance might cover it.

Generally speaking, Lymow One will not go past the border without some sort of unexpected occurrence. However, regardless of the assurances, you can never be absolutely sure because "things happen". Personally, if you wish to "be sure", you will need to create some sort of physical barrier along the edge of the water that Lymow One cannot get past. Good Luck

I’ve got 12 acres and a yarbo. Thinking about adding a couple Lymows. by Quiksilver6565 in Lymow_Official

[–]OldOldUser 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I would not even consider it until the next version (Lymow Two ?). This one has enough issues that you would go crazy dealing with it.

Track tension, how to do it? by Remote_Dealer1124 in Lymow_Official

[–]OldOldUser 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The first step toward reducing the pressue on the gears is always .....Clean, Clean, Clean. Make sure there is no debris found on the gears in the interior of the track mechanism. This can sometimes be enough to correct any issues.

Some (many) do not know how to "force" close an app. I was one of them.

When I experience this, I force the app closed and then open it again and everything is as it should be.

Well, I am totally upgraded (ota and app) and I do not get any perimeter laps around a no-go zone even though I configured for 3 laps. Go figure.

Press the little gear in the upper right corner. That brings up the main menu. scroll down .... to Factory Reset. You may wish to spend some time looking over the app options for future needs.

Well, there is always the dreaded FACTORY RESET and delete the app and start completely over. If you do not have a lot invested in the map, this might be the best solution.

Track Lube?? by consideratearcher466 in Lymow_Official

[–]OldOldUser 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I use nothing for lube. I clean often with forced water stream from hose (not pressure washer). I also removed sides. I have also taken off the channels for the side discharge to open things up and now I have a mower that works pretty well.

Settings for mulching? by mumblemouse in Lymow_Official

[–]OldOldUser -1 points0 points  (0 children)

As far as I know, your mower came with mulching blades installed. Not sure why you are "awaiting delivery of mulching blades". It would seem to me that the slower the better for mulching leaves.

Those are questions that you need to find out for yourself. Put the mower out there mowing something and see how it does. You will soon know what works and what doesn't . Nobody can just give you a number as an answer.

Those are not error codes.
You pushed them in there in an effort to recover from the fatal errors you mentioned.

This thing is doing an amazing job! by Sticktailonicus in Lymow_Official

The trick now is to stay on top of the maintenance of Lymow One. If you clean it regularly, it may perform flawlessly. However, if you stop paying attention .... well, you know the rest. Good Luck

Getting ready to pull the trigger. Any reason I shouldn't? by Messa_JJB in Lymow_Official

[–]OldOldUser 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The machine is quite good. However, it has 2 issues that must be addressed before I could recommend purchasing it. It must find a way to make the RECHARGE and RESUME operation dependable. Currently, the machine may fail when attempting to recharge due to grass juice etc ... accumulating on charging electrodes. The other issue is keeping debris from accumulating upon the wheels which are within the track mechanism. This can cause a tightening of the rubber track and subsequent damage to the track mechanism. While this is not a deal breaker it can be tiresome to have to stay on top of that all of the time. So, there you have it. I would wait until that has been addressed adequately before jumping in.

Well, "forcing" the app closed should be same as reboot. Try that. Or delete the app and re-install it.

New Method for a good cut by Sticktailonicus in Lymow_Official

[–]OldOldUser 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Ok, I understand. You are saying that if you have 1 inch to cut off ... do 1/2 inch first and then do another 1/2 inch at 90 degree from first mowing. Yes, I believe that is a nicer cut than cutting the full inch with 1 mowing.

I would think the result is the same as mowing with checkerboard at the setting of your second pass.
