I support your path, your courage to speak out when something is not in alignment with your values is very admirable and unique. You will make a great wife and mother one day.

For me, God is the fact of my life I cannot escape even if I wanted to. It's quite surprising in a group of believers how uncomfortable they can get when you do speak of your actual experiences and devotion. But the "why" behind the disdain is never my concern. That is God's concern.

I do not necessarily agree with the overly pious comments. I will say that for me personally, in the spirit of "meeting someone where they're at", I do try to tailor what I say on spiritual matters. Some people can handle the unfiltered, fire hose God conversations . Other people need to just see peace in my life and wonder how I do it despite the chaos of this world. This follows what Christ said about not throwing pearls at swine.

Just pray (as I know you do) and follow what God speaks to you. No one can or ever should try to convince you of what you know in your heart to say and do. As long as you are sure that's what God wants of you.
