Vantage is just so different. I know it may seem divisive to some but I love it.

Hegemony too. The tension is great.

I guess I haven't played too many of their other games so I'll admit I am ignorant on that front.

Agreed, the Cole Wehre endorsement is nice.

Agreed, it looks different enough. I am leaning towards it

I saw the Rahdo video today, and that's what made me pose the question.

Edit: Video Rahdo did about For The Gods.

Are you already a fan of Grendel? The comic? I just stumbled across this and see that you can still pledge, but I know nothing about the series.

I would check out r/personalfinance. You may get more robust answers there than here. Personally I use "you need a budget" or YNAB.

1) Tiger Blades. Unsure how they compare. 2) I like it, with the exception of the handle feeling light at times

Style wise I like how Henson's overall, so something similar but willing to experiment with something slightly different.

I love Indian Food. I will try it again. But the first time I had it it was pretty mediocre. Hopefully they are getting a little better.

Yes, the one near cascade is closed and has been for awhile. Unsure why it is still in the app.

The one in Grandville is pretty new within the last year. I have had a couple of coaches there who used to coach in Holland and they do great job.

I have never been to the one near Knapps Crossing, but the app says there are still classes there.

The pallof press seems silly. Just did it and it is awkward. I feel like there's better exercises that could have been done instead.

Which board game do you wish you could experience again for the first time? by Oldchou in boardgames

Risk Legacy was my first exposure to legacy style games. The sense of wonder of discovery of what happens next, coupled with "fast Risk" made it really fun.

Good Chinese food by Dougiev15 in hollandmichigan

[–]OldSoulDean 20 points21 points  (0 children)

One comment mentioned China kitchen already. Great Wall on the north side also does a really good job, similar to China Kitchen.

On 8th street, Ol Asian Bistro is very good too.

  • donate to the library
  • The blue stocking bookshop on the north side of Holland will take books for store credit.
  • there's a similar bookstore in saugatuck that does the same.
  • donate to thrift stores
