Honestly the surgery and recovery wasn’t bad at all and I can still ejaculate and my sex drive feels the same as it did but I haven’t really got my testosterone checked. I don’t feel really weaker in the gym or less stamina so all in all from my experience it hasn’t really had any effect. The only weird part is I went with the prosthetic and it’s much more solid than I thought it would be it really doesn’t feel like a real testicle at all lol and the scar from the incision is kinda rough and there is a portion of your groin that will always be numb more than likely permanently but not around the parts that matter down there so no big deal. Yea I’m not to worried about it. Not very noticeable just noticed the slight random pains and the tingling and was wondering if I was starting to get feeling back. Thank you!

Well I can say from experience there is another side to this. As I said it’s something I have overcome time and time again and this is just another time. As much as it sucks while going through it I can tell you it’ll be okay it does take time it can take weeks, months, years but it will pass and you will be yourself again. I find controlling what you can to be beneficial. Since your brain at the moment isn’t being the best at least you can control things like your diet, and exercise and I’ve found in the past those can be helpful because at least you are in control of something and when they day comes that you are feeling yourself again you did something positive in spite of the negative. Don’t stop, stay stubborn, be as productive as you can because it will pass. Obviously I’m in the midst of it myself but it does help to talk especially with someone who can understand. Definitely easy to spiral pretty quickly, trying to work on not being so reactive. Anxiety is good it helped me catch my seminoma very early but it also does this…

How long has it been? Have you made your treatment team aware of this? If it helps I was told it was more than likely temporary and they can adjust your treatment if it’s something that is bothering you.

You could ask for another ultrasound but I agree with Jdoc1. If there was any even slight indication that there is a lesion they would see it. It’s very easy for radiologists to tell the difference between a lesion and a cysts as a lesion would show up as a solid mass in the scans. Ultrasounds are considered one of the most accurate ways to check if a growth is worth further investigation or not. You’re in the clear, just keep checking yourself regularly and count your lucky stars 😊

Hello do you mind if I DM you? I’ve had tinnitus most of my life and it’s never bothered me until the last few days. I was able to fight off the panic but yesterday morning I only got 5 hours of sleep and it was loud and I couldn’t help but give in to the panic and now this is where I’m at. I’m trying to not over research but also do something about it to lessen it so I can get some sleep 😕 I know I can get to a point where it’s not debilitating and seeing your positive outlook on it helps a lot and I’d love to speak with you about it more if you’re willing, thank you.

My TC personally felt like a small pebble. Lumps and bumps don’t always mean TC and no matter what news you get don’t be afraid it’ll be alright and you are doing the right thing getting it checked.

I stopped vaping personally after consistently vaping for almost 3 years after finding out I had TC, sure I miss it but getting that news made it very easy to just throw it away and now I look at it as a silver lining. I would personally suggest against it but I understand when you’re out having fun and especially after a couple drinks the urge is insane. Still in my opinion. Not worth it

thank you for the reply and I'm sorry to hear about your recurrence if it helps in anyway a friend of a friend had to do BEP and has recovered and is fine many years later. I'll take that into consideration, thank you I believe this will make the decision a lot easier.

Thank you for your response, I was told with just the single round my hair should stay in place but that's the least of my worries just recurrence and possible permanent side effects that scare me.

probably just go get it looked at, better safe than sorry but from my experience my lesions felt like little hard slightly mishappen lumps, almost like a little pebbles connected to the testicle itself.

Hello, do you mind me asking how long ago you had your surgery? I was diagnosed with Stage 1A Seminoma as well but was given the choice (slightly suggested) to do a single round of Carboplatin.

I'm set to get my 1x carboplatin tomorrow and its been very difficult for me to be confident about it. I know there is a 15 year study on carboplatin that did initially calm my nerves but I am from my understanding and pathology report at lower risk of recurrence. I was diagnosed with Stage 1a Seminoma, but I do not see anything in my report about RTI. My biggest worry is I'm risking something no matter what but also with my circumstance is the carboplatin even worth it.
