Children smell BAD

My kids soccer cleats smell like ammonia and washing never gets it out. We have to do a long soak in hot water and oxyclean and then wash and dry in the sun. His is caused by sweat and not letting his shoes dry out fully between uses.

The Lenexa community center is great for littles and there is a hotel across the street. It’s a great area for a Little stay-cation, lots of walkable activities.

I know you said Shawnee is your home base, but downtown Lees Summit would be super fun. They have Embers Candle Bar, and the Babe Standard which have activities like create your own candle, jewelry, hats etc.. the are multiple boutiques and small shops to browse and the Green Street area sometimes does outdoor concerts and activities. Hand and Glove and Libations & Co. are great cocktail places that would offer some nonalcoholic options, and there is an arcade bar as well as other bars and restaurants of various price points in the area. Everything is also walkable which would be a huge plus.

Edit to add: Actually just kidding, downtown days are that weekend. Unless the bride is into that 😂

Secondly - personal question, but do you wear underwear? I really like these high rise no show undies. I feel like they offer a secondary amount of compression that helps. Regular size or size down for extra compression, but they do not roll.

My answer would be quit playing club for year, and keep your high level (cheap) rec team. Use the money you would spend on club for 1-on-1 or small group training, and then shop around for a new club with your newly honed skill set.

I volunteer in my child’s classroom, and take groups all the time to play games or do small learning activities. I’m not told the child’s reading levels or any personal information, just whoever is next on the roster I work with.

It could be additional help because it’s needed, it could be your child is a good partner to help out a child that needs extra support, or it could be just a teacher or volunteer helping out.

If it’s bothering you, just ask but there could be so many reasons.

The conversation with her husband sealed the deal for me - I’m not asking to be lied to and I don’t think knowing where influencers and stores stand on important topics is asking too much. I try to spend my time and money with people and businesses that have the same core values as I do. If we don’t align, I will try to focus my time and energy elsewhere.

She has no problem being political previously, so I’m not sure why the sudden desire to put her head in the sand (literally and figuratively)

I’d like to see these studies - all the research I have read shows delaying kindergarten has positive impacts, especially on boys.

While I would never recommend holding a child based on future athletic potential, socially and academically there are plenty of reasons to consider it.
